You’ll get computer viruses, they’ll just also be transmissible to people.

Why especially does it have to be “human” brain cells? Why not animal?

Reply to comment by KeaboUltra in The moon could get its own time zone, but clocks work differently there – here's why by QuickOliveSpring
There is no dark side of the moon. It's a misconception. The moon rotates just like the earth does, but it takes nearly a month to rotate once. It's in nearly perfect sync with the earth, which is why we only ever see the one side. But when it's a 'new moon ', aka fully dark to us, the other side is in full sun. You're seeing the moon day happen every month with the phases of the moon. So any moon base is gonna be dark two weeks a month.

So neurons just crave stimulation, they don’t particularly care what stimulation it is. I believe how they train them is they try to get it to do something, and if it doesn’t do it they put it into a dark room with zero stimulation for a period of time then take it out. I think they combine that with the typical teaching of neural networks.

Not even that old..not that bright either.
Chatbots are a scam. look up eliza code and tell me there is a meaningful increase in 'intelligence'.

Reply to A John Hopkins University-led team says ORGANOID INTELLIGENCE (OI) may be the future of AI deployment. Conglomerations of living brain cells in 3D structures may be vastly more powerful and energy efficient than silicon chips. by lughnasadh
At what point does a computer get considered to be a lifeform of its own? With an intelligent, learning, growing clump of cells does it become unethical to kill it?

I got a great idea that going to make we all rich!
It going to involve some human trafficking and a tech priest though.

Lol, just because you can have dynamic variables doesn't mean that you can't set hard coded rules. It's a program. It doesn't just "exist" just like how any text or image AI can deny a request. Yes you can circumvent these rules, but not because it's intended, it's because it's a bug or an oversight, and isn't because the "machine is sentient" and is overwriting its programming.
It's clear you're very shortsighted and don't understand what I wrote.

Are you drunk? What part of that comes off as me agreeing with you? We overcome our instincts every single day. We've been overcoming them ever since society first formed.

You very clearly didn’t read the article. Elon was talking about moving people 1,200km/hour. This is basically an underground conveyor belt which goes up to 30km/hour. The goals is to reduce road congestion by up to 40%. It’s completely different and in no way vindicates elons idea whatsoever

Exactly. Why did this take you so long to admit? I could not have been clearer on my question the 5 times I had to ask it. So we agree, that no one has overcome their instincts right? We agree on that? We have no example of it happening and no valid reason to think it can happen outside of pure hopefulness. Correct?
