>Until you want to access a news source or website that Elon disagrees with.
Ironically Musk was the biggest boo-man of the Internet last year when he refused to close access to sites some American politicians wanted to remove.
He really put a foot down for net neutrality.
Well, at least so far.

I don't say it's a bad thing overall. Promoting it as a solution for developing countries is just not right.

There's nothing fake about it.
And garbage is garbage, whether its created by humans, or created by AI.
If ChatGPT is generating garbage, and this magazine can't tell the difference between the work an AI is spitting out and what humans are putting out, then what the humans were putting out was also garbage.

>Elon’s companies have a way of promising things that they can’t deliver
When it comes to SpaceX they truly do deliver.
But "impossible" things like landing a rocket and high-speed satellite internet do sometimes stretch their ambitious timelines.

>I call vapoware what it is
Ask the Ukranians how much 'vapour ware" Starlink is to them.
And most likely all the urgent shipments to Ukraine were one of the reasons why your reservation was not fulfilled.

Basically yes.
But look how many there are!

I’m supposed to be saving for a goddamn house.
FHA is not an option. A 10% down payment is literally $90,000+ anywhere within 30 mins of where my wife and I work. Ideally, I would love to put down 20%, and even then I’m still competing with cash offers.
Sure, an extra 2k is a lot for someone who likes living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t like that. I won’t like being a forever renter. I don’t want to start a 30-year mortgage when I’m 40. I want real estate to pass onto my kids because this economy will be even more fucked in time.

You can still purchase the cheaper fixed versions and then "internet pool" with your neighbours.
Sure, it's not achievable for the 1$/day folks, but there are plenty of people far better off than that but still don't have Internet access so far.

Starlink still sucks in urban areas, until they fix that it probably won’t be ‘Every ship, train, plane, work truck, semi, and military unit.
Also this thing is still huge so it won’t work on cars and you have to be pretty stationary to use it effectively. I feel like this will just be replacing those big old satellite dishes from the 90s

You seem to think that estate taxes affect the ultra rich. The ultra rich have financial instruments such as off shore accounts, and family trusts to avoid those things.

Emotions have a chemical component computers inherently lack. I think no matter how lifelike AI interactions might seem, it'll always just be a more elaborate version of this meme:
Programmer: Are you sentient?
AI Programmed to Say Yes: Yes
Programmer: Holy fuck...

Sure. But derivative cliche ridden re-hashes are no great loss to anyone.
The gate keeping if reliable sources, however, as we’ve seen in recent years, is a critical function.
Zuckerberg and Musk’s etc refusal to accept editorial responsibility in tech platforms has been disastrous

Indeed. But corporate correspondence is far from good writing.
In fact, it’s one of the best examples of terrible writing you can find

I don't think that's a question we can answer yet i'm not sure we fully understand what a motion is and why we experience it it's one of those things we'll have to find out.
