I think you’ll be one of the people saying “in my time everything was just better and simpler” there is no line. There is only people and getting more close to what it actually means to be a awareness or personality, without limitations or constraints. What is the core of us. If that means a naked turtle then so it is.

Ok but think about it. It’s trains, but with like 20x the maintenance for a small boost in speed!

Because it's taking the most expensive type of train and putting it in a vacuum tube. The vacuum tube at that scale is impossible.
And on top of that, the real reason it's a scam is that it's being sold as more affordable than regular high speed rail. It's a horrifically expensive thing built inside another horrifically expensive thing that probably can't work and then gets sold as something less expensive than the conventional option.

Altman has said that he hopes for ai to be a mid level person equal to an assistant but that the experience you choose would be unique to your wants/needs. So, in that way, it would need to know you and details about your life. At this point, you’ve given ALL your data up for free. What’s a smidge more?

Humanity MUST make a decision to limit A.I. If we continue down this road ; a road already pock-marked with a leftist-Marxist limits on free speech. Also, A.I. puts us on the slippery ladder to a technocracy first conceived over a century ago by a group of male elitist hell- bent on killing off most of humanity and wrestle control from the rest. These elites have made these statements. They LOVE evil. They serve the evil and the evil one.

If you're giving your entire psychological profile to a chat bot ai, pretty sure you're the problem, not the ai.
Besides, we give out shit tons of info anyway. I mean, not really that big a deal if Elon gets this info when Google had it for like 2 decades...

Injustice and inequity are not the same as decadence although the former can and often does lead to the latter. This is especially true if decadence starts to appear in the highest echelons of society. It is particularly scary when you apply this paradigm to the posthuman condition.

Your example with the toilet bed robot being "degenerate" is a lousy one. Something like that would be a tremendous beneficial application for hospitals and nursing homes. Also it might even let some elderly people live longer in their own homes.
Unless you are worried for the jobs of those nursing staff who have to take care of that mess.

I go to the store and buy ten hotdogs, nine burgers, three bags of chips, and six sodas. If I eat nine hot dogs, seven burgers, three bags of chips, and drink five sodas, what do I have?… No self control.

That’s an entertaining Reddit meme, but it’s absurd. Do you really think hyperloops are pulling any money or attention away from trains in the real world? In Europe?
