Cool, I’ve got 15mm on full frame so that should work!

Very nice job. It is hard to get the lighting right without harsh shadows.

I was just there last weekend. It is massive. It's hard to comprehend unless you are in person. Honestly, spending most of my life only seeing things in pictures there is simply no replacement for seeing it, feeling it in person.
My big take away from that trip was the absolutely unfathomable amount of sand that is gone. How much had to have been there, above where I stood and above the towering monuments of sandstone to create that sandstone. It makes you feel really, really small.

Weren't these the trees in the final episodes of "His Dark Material" on HBO?

Aw, I miss the Sandias! Back in the late 90s, we lived waaaay out on the western edge of Rio Rancho up on the mesa. We had an amazing view of the Sandias from our living room windows. The sunsets were the best with the mountains lit up all pink. We’re thinking of going back for the balloon fiesta this year. It’ll be good to see them again.

We've got a number of these trees in southern California as well. They're always weird and great to find in the "wild".

When I bought Wish You Were Here in 1976 this photo fascinated me.
I visited there in 2002. Unfortunately, it was very windy that day.
