I got strong Lost Boys of Neverland vibes from this day of hiking in Point Lobos.

Use vedur.is to check the weather:Aurora forecast: https://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/aurora/. anything => kp3 is interesting. If you get to >kp5, be ready to not sleep to be in a clear spot, to enjoy as much as possible. If you are up north, even a kp1 can provide good auroras.
And if possible keep some night without hotes (so you can book last minute to get to be at a location with clear sky).
Good luck ! March is usually amazing for auroras!

You’ll get there. Keep trying! It is so so so so worth it.
Pro tip when it happens: listen to the geese. When they start honking en masse, wait 9-10 seconds and then click your shutter. They see it before we do!

Was this recent? When?
Love Hofn. Was lucky enough to see an aurora in kirkjubaejarklaustur a couple months ago, first time ever for me. I also took an a7 iv with me! Great camera.
Absolutely glorious shot!!

I miss old Burghy Bird though. The new Burghy is one of those boring generic “fiercer” logos. I miss the big damn goofy bird! Alas.
