Same. I love being down in it at high flows when all you can hear is the rumbling echoeing white noise of the falls.

Burnt Ranch Gorge is one of my favorite places on earth.

With a swelling triumphant nordic orchestral score playing in the background.

It's the only stretch of the Trinity I haven't boated. But I have been hiking down into to fish the falls since I was a kid. And after the things I've seen there... I'm a hard NO on ever boating it. But nothing for respect for the folks that do.

Love the Trinity as well. It saved me and I will forever be indebted. And thanks.

Thanks. NorCal is home and gas is expensive so I mainly just take local pics. I'm new'ish to posting/sharing stuff. It's been a good way for me to get some feedback on pics.

Been a while for me, but used to trek down there once a year to raft. Technical boating with some stout rapids and drops. Good times.

The good ol' BRG🤣. So you know that place? It doesn't get snow down to the river here very often. I just ended up getting lucky with my timing.

And yeah, hella rough country. Steep and brushy with rattlesnakes, tics, faceflies, Bigfoot, mountain lions, etc. to contend with. It's one of my favorite places on earth!

Love the trinity river ! Great shot!

I used to work on a cruise ship that went there. I was so stressed out just exhausted putting in long hours. As soon as I stepped off in Eidfjord, I immediately became incredibly relaxed. It was just so quiet and this beautiful light mist above the water. Simply breath taking. I’ve been to 100s of places and still can’t forget Norway 🇳🇴. Miss it dearly. Great photo and thanks for the memories.

I saw a brief AB moment last year just south of Portland. What stunned me more than the colors (silver, purple, pink and blue) was how it was shaped and moved like an entity - a cylinder with uniform flags rolling with it before it faded into a cloud. My SO had just died and he obsessed with night skies - I could not help thinking it was from him.

It may have been the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
