I considered lugging my snowboard to the top on Monday morning but was too lazy. Some skier stole my idea though and a bunch of local news outlets ran his video. 😆

Strange, I wonder what could have caused that to shift

All of California seems so much greener now that we've finally had a solid rainy season. It's awesome.

What a blessing. Is this the right time of the year to be in Anchorage for this?

Wasn’t too uncommon when I was growing up.

I have been waiting for about five years to have snow low on Mount Diablo in California. So when this happened overnight, I was up early and went to the shot that I had planned. Took about five hours for the low clouds to clear, but this is what I got. Hope you like it.

Wow! Living here in Alaska is so amazing. It is beyond beautiful here. 😍

I took a side-trip here last winter and was blown away by how beautiful it was. Plus, there are mountain goats everywhere. I was waiting in line to get in, and one just wandered along the road way. Once inside the park, I’d hit traffic jams and wonder, “why the fuck is everyone stopped?” Then we’d start moving and there would be a herd of goats up near the road. Amazing place.

They are powered by the rotational momentum of Jupiter and the gravitational squeezing of the moon Io. If both survive the end of the Sun, the aurora of Jupiter might be one of the brightest things left to shine in the solar system

I'm from just down the road in Mesquite. Rockwall used to be a sleepy town on the lake, but now it's like some glorified resort town. Love driving over the bridge, though.

Normally it’s mainly greens that you’ll see. During times of higher geomagnetic activity is when the reds come out. I’m glad you enjoyed the show!
Hatchers pass is where a lot of people go to see/take pictures of the aurora. The light pollution there is minimal.
