Watching them live is amazing! In order to get a good pic you have to leave the shutter open longer and so the aurora appears smeared. In person, they are very crisp and vivid.

Nice shot. I wish it was a little sharper but maybe that is the conditions. I like how the origin of it is hidden in the clouds.
