Don't get me wrong. I've been to Banff a ton of times. Camped in the mountains above Lake Louise. But just never made it to Reddit Lake.
It's the old, it's too crowded with tourists mantra.

You're an odd fellow, but you steam a good ham.

It's beautiful. I've got a cool atmospheric shot of that same view as the wallpaper of my phone. I didn't know where it was until I saw this picture. Thanks for posting.

Saw a lot of posts about how this happened—there was a solar storm several days ago that caused increased auroras being visible!

Context: Sol Duc Falls is one of the world's most iconic and over-photographed waterfalls. This was my most anticipated shot during my Washington trip. There were a good amount of people on the trail, including many large groups of families. I recommend arriving early in the morning to beat the crowds. On the day I went, the weather was overcast, perfect for midday waterfall scenery. The bridge I took this photo on was super muddy and not sturdy at all. It is highly recommended to use a tripod. At first, I thought to myself, “oh, this is an easy composition”. I then looked closely at my photo and noticed that the leaves were blurry. To ensure that my leaves were sharp, I needed to take an additional photo at a higher shutter speed since the leaves were moving. I blended the slower shutter speed and the faster shutter speed of the leaves to create this image.
I am planning to post more of my work asap! If you like my work, please consider following my Facebook page or Instagram!
Settings: Leaves - 30mm, ISO400, f/8, 1/40s. Waterfall - 30mm, ISO100, f/13, 1/4s

Curious how that's possible. At ~32°S, that's closer to the equator than Dallas.
