Just did it in Sept of '22 in a stock Jeep Compass Trailhawk.. A bit spicy here and there, but the Trailhawk did just fine.. 1 Day trip clockwise, about 14hrs..

For landscape/nature/wildlife photographers it would be
- workshops
- magazine articles
- books
- sponsorships/paid reviews on social media
- YouTube
- finally some sell some photos
You can also make money with product photography (including real estate), industrial photography for publications of the client company, new born photography or selling photos to news agencies or newspapers.
I believe you are right, it is hard work to make a living.

The trail drive is amazing. Mesa Arch is another stunning spot right near by, especially at sunrise.

Did both in one day last year. Love Canyonlands, but Arches was pretty dissapointing. Didn't really get the appeal. Maybe it's because it was dark and damp.

Out of interest, how do photographers make money exactly if not doing events/weddings? I'd love to travel around and take amazing pictures some day but I can imagine it's incredibly difficult to turn it into a career.

Doors-off rides scare some people, but they are worth it. The seat belts will keep you safe, even if you encounter turbulence, and the unobstructed views are fantastic. Especially here.

Must be a bit shitty having to do a lot of those things as well because it's probably not really what they'd actually like to be taking pictures of. Can imagine taking pics of babies gets old real fast.
