I love hiking there in the winter, it’s so serene. Fall and spring I get around the crowds by parking on the other side of the mountain and coming up on the lookout from the other side

We go in late fall and winter to avoid the people. You just have to be extra cautious at the top.

Also spot the glacier in the center-right of the picture - it's Bolivia's Tuni glacier.
"And it is disappearing faster than initially anticipated. Scientists from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), who monitor the Tuni and other regional glaciers, told Reuters the once sprawling glacier had been reduced to just one square kilometer.
Where once they had predicted it would last through 2025, now they say its disappearance is imminent." source

Kunturiri is 5,648 metres. The place from where I took this photo must be around 4200 m.

Ohhhh no I didn't see them when I uploaded but you're right. There were a few other hikers in the area.

Head an hour or so south to Big Talbot Island near Amelia island FL. “Boneyard Beach” is one of the most magical ecological wonders in a city full of them in Jacksonville. Boneyard Beach https://maps.app.goo.gl/MtpVDpVqTBSApbde6?g_st=ic

There are many creeks that constitute the river. If you look on Google Maps or other photos of the area, they kind of look like woven strands through the black rocks. Some of them are super wide and some are narrow like this one!

Yeah this was taken towards the end of August 2022. Definitely a little out of season to be posting, but I wanted to start getting my photos out there.

Very different from the same rock layer along the Green River which is much thicker. On this side there are like a zillion hoodoos because the White Rim layer is so hard and and broken into small sections forming a perfect cap. I highly recommend taking the White Rim Road and seeing these beautiful places from up close (you can see a bit of it in this photo, winding around), e.g.: https://www.reddit.com/r/EarthPorn/comments/eqo4be/the_surreal_desolation_below_the_white_rim/

Palmer’s in the village has the best breakfast. The banana pudding pancakes are delicious.

I’m at the Brunswick airport heading home from a week in SSI. It’s one of my favorite places.

Live in the mountains just above ATL and the wife and I visit SSI and Jekyll multiple times a year. Most definitely amazing.
