South Africa is beautiful all over. So many spectacular places. All you gotta do is get out of the city and it's amazing.

Its more or less preserved, the landowner is a timber company, but it's not under threat of being logged because it's way too steep to actually get in there and cut (and they're required by state law to maintain a 500 foot buffer along the river). It's more an issue of public visitation causing liability issues than anything else.

Very near Blue Pool, I have a picture at that same spot! Even looked for comparisons sake and can match several of the logs. I don't consider it misleading, I don't think you can get there without passing this. Very nice, your picture looks great!

It’s funny you say that, some early excavations in the area found evidence of pretty large fires from the Shawnee Indians and was later used for smelting I believe.
