I just hiked the bright Angel trail last week all the way down to the river and back up to the rim in the same day. Hell of a workout but probably the most rewarding hike I’ve ever done. It was also super snowy that day so it was absolutely stunning.

Amazing photo. One of those soul lifting shots you only see once every year or so. Bravo/brava.

Those are some very cooperative trees in the 30 second exposure! I’m lucky if I can get them to sit still enough for bracketed daytime shots.

I recommend doing it in the fall to escape the oppressive heat. The top will be cold and the bottom will be perfect. It's an amazing hike. The garden section in the middle is an oasis like Eden when you just need to rest a bit.

This was taken during October 2022 at Picture Lake, Washington. The mist/fog you see is from a nearby forrest fire in British Columba. I slept overnight in my car to try to capture this photo during sunrise and it didn't disappoint. During the night you could see the sky glow red in the distance, heres a 30 second long exposure of how that looked.
