Consider using very thin drywall instead. Much easier to get a clean finish.

Outlet is on an exterior wall.. switch only has a closet behind it

Looks like you had other reasons to do it, but I solved my vaulted ceiling echoes with homemade bass traps. Basically fabric over Owens Corning fiberglass hung on the corners.

You replace a shed when you can't justify building an addition to it. Also, this thread is giving me great reminiscing about doing carpentry with my dad in the yard.

Go to Home Depot, find the aisle with picture hangers, pick one out.
Recommend the aluminum “French cleat” style

Heavy duty shelf supports. 2 of them, one at each end should be enough. I believe they are 150lb rated each, the ones from Menards are. Also use lag bolts instead of screws when connecting to wall for added strength.

Ahh thats a good idea. It is unfortunately a bit heavy and the wall is like some kinda felt material that will probably ruin if it needs to be peeled off
mightyjack2 t1_jadzqt4 wrote
If it's not incredibly heavy I've had good luck with the Command brand picture hanging strips. Basically it's adhesive velcro strips that you stick on the wall. The nicest part is you just put the strips on and push the frame on the wall where you want it.

I used this exact solution when I remodeled my kitchen. The hardest part is definitely lining it up with the counter when installing but gives good piece of mind

Check to see if they are structural pine needles before moving 😁.

OP said that they're both on the same breaker, so they should be safe. But your point is well taken.

Just a thought...
Have you measured red to black? If the answer is 240, the situation may be a bit different than you think.

Nice! Increased sf (and likely property value) and lowered AC and heating bills.

If you have a power tester, which wires are hot? I'd bet money red is hot and what you have is a shared neutral situation going on. You'll find what is shared when you disconnect the wires. It'll probably be whatever circuit is on the other side of the wall. That said, that is the laziest way I've seen that setup done.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe it was a large hearth that had wings to the side. I don't know that the hearthstone on the floor would cause that sag though.

Some popcorn ceilings have asbestos in them, so you wet it down to avoid creating and breathing the dust. Soak it with a weed sprayer and it slops right off onto a tarp below.
