I’d say that installing a product on your own property is one’s own private business and my neighbors can privately complain about it to themselves

What kind of pipes? Plastic drain pipe, I'd be careful but just smash it as it sits.
If you have metal drain pipes, I'd pause and do what ever it takes to disconnect.
Oh - and the only critical tip I can share, throw down a tarp or old blanket and only smash the completely covered tub. The email splintera and shatters in crazy directions, from everywhere. It's an absolute pain in the ass. ....but covering it while smashing all but eliminates the blast radius.

It came with these wire extenders, but you thought you’d better check with Reddit, who would know better than the manufacturer?

Well, setting expectations first: they're unlikely to give you complete light blocking because that takes multiple layers. You would want to have blinds mounted inside the window frame, and then a layer of curtains around the window.
And if your windows face the sun you'll of course be fighting more than if your windows don't face the sun.
So: yeah there are limitations since you can't (or won't be able to) install blinds, and can't (or won't be able to) change which room you are in and which direction the windows face.
Overall guidance is to eliminate the gaps.
You will get less light bleed if you can use some small thumbtacks or pushpins and push them through the edges of the fabric and into the wall surrounding the curtains. Basically stapling the fabric to the walls.
On the top and bottom you try a couple of things.
On the top you can drape extra fabric across the gap - like a valence.
On the bottom you can lean something across the bottom of the fabric to make the curtains close the gap. An extra pillow for example.
Finally: invest in a comfortable eye mask.
The better eye masks are extremely comfortable and have foam surrounding the "eye wells" and they won't press on your eyelids and eyelashes.

Why wouldn't they hold? They're literally designed to hang a TV on a dab & dot wall.

I know this wasn't your question but I had success cutting an old bathtub into large sections w an angle grinder. Loud and dusty but made for a QUICK demo.. also no flying shards from sledgehammering. You'll definitely still need to address the plumbing first though. Good luck!

Yes, that's it exactly. Or more than likely you can find mould release spray.

The extender wires are tin plated copper. Tin plating is for corrosion resistance and is compatible with your bare copper doorbell wire.

I'm checking that out! Seems like a good idea. But how do I use the PAM? Sorry but I never used it and in my country it doesn't exist like that (I'm guessing it's just a kitchen spray that I would use to cast a non-sticky surface on the mold before using the Plaster, is that it?

strongly recommend it goes against a gable end and not an eave side. leave a healthy gap so you can clean, 6” seems fairly tight. Crushed gravel beneath the deck as well as a vapor barrier under the gravel, be sure the grade all pitches away from the house. The storage space will be excellent!

No but you could use it to form the mold into something that would. Plaster of Paris? Something like that, or even clay. You could use mold separator (or better would be PAM.

Look for an Easter egg filled with candy. This the season. You should be able to find something you can use to make the mold.

The electrics are fine, but if you value your privacy and respect the privacy of others there are serious questions to be asked about installing a Ring product. Personally i would stay away from it and i would be quite displeased if a neabor would hang one up

Check your local building codes. Where I live, that is too close. I built a shed like that and placed it within 6” of my house so I could use an outdoor outlet with a drop cord for a light source. I had to get a property inspection for another project and they told me the shed had to be moved.

Funny story... I used a sledge to break out my old tub. The sledge bounced off the tub and into the toilet and broke the bowl in half. The good news is that the toilet was getting replaced anyway. The bad news is that there was water in the bowl.
