I tried, it was removed because rule 3.
So, going by the rules and the removal, that is why I assume this is not a friendly sub to folks doing DIY. Looks to be just a place to show off. So, to follow the rules of this sub, just looking for an actual place to discuss projects and if folks have any insight to the specifics.

You’re welcome to post here I think. I’m not sure why the subreddit standards say only to post completed projects but there are plenty of “Will this work?” and “oh crap, how do I fix this?” types of posts here.
Pictures and drawings are always useful too.

I'd love to, that is why I posted originally but it does not meet the community standards.
a vine trellis using cattle panels but rather than one panel across, i'm looking at two. I have a design in mind, I have planned out putting a certain amount of posts to hold it up. I have looked on here, on reddit in general, and on youtube. I haven't found much. I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing this dumb thing.
So, to keep it within the community guidelines. the specific question, is there another subreddit, since this can't be discussed here.

Rent or buy a grinder and get a diamond blade. Use that to cut and dig out old mortar. This is a very handy item combo to own for lots of house repairs.
up new mortar and pushing it into the joint is not to difficult. Need to get the proper tools. It's a doable DIY. Cover everything under it and have water a rag and brush to wipe brick before mortar sets (the face of the brick will get some on it, and if left to dry it's a big pain to remove.)

Find a masonry specialist to look at it.

Got it makes sense, would you recommend replacing the lintel & also the bricks around it?

I would guess that the lintel rusting and warping caused the bricks to shift.

Drill or punch a small pilot hole through the center of where you want the cable management hole. Then use tin snips to cut through the mat around the edges of where you want starting from the pilot hole. You can then pop in a grommet to make sure the edges aren't sharp. Just make sure to cut the right size hole for your grommet!

Use a step drill bit to make the hole, then a curtain grommet.

According to ikea, the main part of the mat is composed of:
“100 % polypropylene, 100 % Polyurethane, Paper, Epoxy powder coating, Steel”
Getting through that steel while simultaneously not mutilating those other layers is the challenge here. If you have to cut through it, regular bits / hole saw are not likely going to be up to the task. Rather than compromise the integrity of the mat, I’d be looking at an alternative cable management system as a simpler solution.
Not saying it’s not possible, but if you’re going through steel, that will be a real challenge.

Oh that’s true, we could try that. It’s metal but I could look for the right drill bit. Thanks for the suggestion

It’s flush, it’s just that the rim on the front is surprisingly thick and pushes everything off the wall a bit. But that’s a decent idea to try manipulating the mounting plate

Modify the light fixture. If you enlarge those side mounting screw holes you will be able to push the light flush against the wall.

Is it an old work or new work box?
If old work, see if it’s come loose (tighten down the screws that tighten the tabs. If the drywall is broken in the backside rotate the box and retighten)
If new work (nailed to stud) remove box by finding out which side stud Is and remove box, I would then put new work box in it’s place.

This.... Most house use ½" drywall on the interior of the house. The ceilings and garage walls with be ⅝" drywall. Looks like they installed a ⅝ box.

U would screw it further into the red piece. That will allow the handle to spin a little further—up to that red piece / set screw. If that makes any sense.
