I'd be worried about the welds on the tube frame.

Unless you’re doing something else with it, there’s no reason for it to still be in one piece. Take off anything you can to make it lighter.

Sounds like your cabinet is rocking. Secure the cabinet and then put a bead of caulk down.

Recently used Rubio to finish a bunch of floating shelves in my kitchen. That stuff is amazing and smells sooooo good. If they made Rubio scented candles they'd fly off of the shelves.
Finsish is also quite waterproof and has held up almost a year very well. Nice thing with Rubio is refinishing is very easy.

Stupid question, but have you drained it? An empty water heater shouldnt be that heavy. Unless it’s filled with sediment, which happens to my parents because they’re on well water

Wow. You seriously don’t see how the impact from the bolt gets transmitted to the kickstand bracket, to the bottom bracket area of the frame which is in turn transmitted to the two light duty, usually low grade aluminum, wheels… all of which bends easily upon impact.

How many times did you try? Those things sometimes fit the definition of insanity… doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

No, its all little pockets. Plus, foam doesnt work too well for sound anyways.

Over time air will permeate through the plastic. You would be better with a glass jar with a metal cover.

Ours was just too heavy to get upstairs so we decided to chop it up in place. Turned out to half full of fine sand that must have added at least 200 lbs to the weight.

The microwave oven might just be wedged enough in there that it stayed up and the installer didn’t feel the need to add the bolts from above.
I would take the door off the oven and try pulling down. The oven will stay on the back wall bracket until it is lifted off. If that doesn’t work, continue to take apart the oven as much as you can.

Thanks mate, appreciate your knowledge :) Definitely worth a go, and funny enough, my eyesight is shocking and I actually have a pair of loupes in my Amazon cart as we speak! You've given me the last push I needed to actually buy them!

Did you drain it? Water heaters are mostly air when they’re empty. That said borrow or rent a furniture/appliance dolly.

If you try to cut tempered glass the entire panel will explode.

I believe that gold fitting is the pressed in receiver for one of the thru-cabinet bolts that would come in from above. Take a paperclip and unbend it and insert from the bottom there and see if it inserts through until it hits the cabinet.
Also, whats the model number on that particular microwave, search for the install manual online and see what other mount options might exist.

Anchor cabinet to wall(i did one or 2 screws underneath sink), even out legs, and caulk up top and it won't split
