...or file an insurance claim based on an electrical fire. Automatic denial and good luck finding another underwriter. They put that shit in a database and share it.

Sure, but you don’t have to use expensive outlets downstream, plus added safety if you do decide to. It’s a no brainer to spend the extra money on those breakers!

Until you notice that plain breakers are like $15.

Each RCA connector uses two wires. The wire connected to the larger outer ring goes to the black connector on the speaker. The wire connected to the inner tip goes to the red connector on the speaker. Lots of ways to get this done, but which one is easiest depends on what is in your junk/spare parts box.

Every rca plug has two conductors. Can you diy a cable for each speaker that has banana plugs on one end and rca on the other?
Yago20 t1_j5rmbiy wrote
Looks to me like the speakers use banana plugs. You'll have to convert one end of the RCA to banana plugs.

I initially thought that single to double RCAs were in order, here, but those connections on the speaker end look odd to me.
What model Bose all-in-one is this?

It depends on if your busbar is made to use tandem breakers, it should be, but that’s what you need to check

Reply to Attic ventilation with spray foam insulation? by shanedn
Look into MVHR as an option to ventilate the property. Will keep it well aired, prevent humidity build-up, and keep the heat in. If you seal up the existing vents without an alternate solution though you will have humidity issues as spray foam insulation is very good at sealing a property.

Thank you.
I have cut out the damaged subfloor (as close to the wall as my saw would allow), added blocking where needed, the floor height matches perfectly. I didn’t glue down, but I used screws every 4” down joists. My next step is to lay thin set before the new 1/4” underlay.

Without putting my hands on it I cannot be certain, but it looks like simply changing the latch location on the hinge would take care of the issue. There are many ways to accomplish this.
The easiest would be to use a hack saw on the hinge piece that is attached to the window; cut 3/8" up the tab that supports the hinge pin. Cut the old latch tongue off and then bend in a new latch tongue from the remaining stock created by the first cut.
If you can visualize what I am saying, and have the tools, I would say it would take ten minutes per side of each window.
If what I am saying doesn't make sense, or you don't have the tools... Then I would take some more pictures and find a local machine shop. Then take one hinge (both pieces on one side) to the machine shop, show them the pictures and explain what you need done (i.e. reduce the latch angle). They can easily either fabricate new hinges, or modify yours. If you are not in a hurry, then let them know that they can work on the project at a slow time and that might save you some money.

Nothing that can be done to these windows?
For our city codes, all they have to be able to do is stay open by themselves and meet a certain size requirement for egress.

I don’t want to punk out any individual people, but I can’t believe some of you answer when you have no idea what you’re talking about. Foaming a roof is completely different than any other type insulated home. You do not ventilate the attic at that point please learn some more before you try to give information that could harm this guy or his home.

For egress, it should never pass. It must open outward. Get a new window. It helps if you add a full description of your situation when you post for help.

Please stop listening to these ignorant people that don’t know anything about spray foaming a roof almost all the information people are giving you is incorrect. Contact an experienced foam insulator in your area to come out and give you his opinion. I’m pretty sure I know the answers but I’m not going to speculate without seeing the entire house you need to make sure you don’t make any mistakes.

Nope city inspector won't pass it. I had tried attaching a hook to the ceiling with some wire connected to the opening handles that would hang on the hook and he still failed me again.

Reply to Two speaker wires into a single plug (DIY Home Audio) by NoahTheCuck
Each of those 5 RCA plugs on the receiver has two wires.
You need to build or buy five cables like these, such that each of those RCA plugs on the receiver splits out into two banana plugs and goes to one speaker.
