love everything except for the light decision. opted for 2-4 dimmable LED recessed lights. we got the 4" that you can even adjust color temperature. They are very cheap now!

Overall, this is great. But man, those kinds of showers really suck.

Ya I hired a top rated company on HomeStars to refinish my tub. He oversprayed one part and there was a large drip mark down from side of tub from top to bottom of tub about midway along long side of tub. I called and person who answered stated she has seen this from time to time and too much paint applied which yes I agreed because I’ve done spray painting before. Put through to owner and he said it’s because my faucet was dripping. Faucet is at end of tub almost 3 feet away from drip!. I just replaced the valve previously as the single lever handle started getting tough to rotate. It was not leaking and a moot point as its nowhere near the drip. Also we all showered the day before to ensure no residual water would drip the following day when work was to be done. He came to respray and it was terrible. There’s a defined raised rectangular newly painted area measuring about 5 inches wide by 16 inches long to bottom of tub covering where drip was. And the overspray now on tiles and around repair on tub because it was obviously not taped off so now was rough feeling to touch and was not cleaned off tiles and not polished on rest of tub by his “repair”. And within 1 year I began to have pieces chip off and now about 8 years later, I have about 15 areas of chipped paint. Never again. I’ll check how those acrylic tub overlays are like Bath Fitters when I ready.

Thank you. Yeah the plumber had suggested just replacing the door with a curtain & that it would keep water in better, I was a bit confused by that suggestion.

As far as the potential drain issue- when I look from behind where the drywall was opened up I can see where the water stains begin & it starts at the height of the top of the tub & runs down. The plumber didn't see any damage to the subfloor & when I run the faucet versus the showerhead I don't get any leaking. So I'm hoping the drain is probably okay?

You will be 100% fine. Again, even without any of those things, it just wouldn’t be enough moisture to make a difference.

I'd replace switch A with a non dimmer first and see if it all works again.

Idk, 15-20mins a day? The firewood is pretty far away from the shower, and the humidity fan is infront of the shower. I dont think its a problem. Havent noticed anything anyway :)

he's asking where the sewer can vent. sewer's have to move air in order to work, so since there's sewer piping there they asked where the vent for that section of sewer was.

Door is far better than a curtain. I'd clean the door and reseal it properly. I'd also check if the drain isn't an issue. I've recently had similar issue and it turned out to be the cracked siphon under the shower.

Remove the glass shower wall and this would make a great Dexter kill room.

Keep that attitude up and soon it will be your wife telling you what she wants you to build. 😉

You’d have to have the water running a lot of the time to have any impact on already dried/cured firewood, even without floor heating and a fan.
