Yes, but definitely use some type of insulation too or you'll be directly heating the concrete subfloor as well as the tiles. You can get thin insulation boards, something like these. Also make sure you wire in a timer and/or thermostat or you'll be running crazy electric bills.

You can siphon it, or most of it. The hose has to be just a little higher at the starting end. Do you have a window or balcony you can hang the other end out of? If so, you can siphon the whole thing by hanging the end out lower than the starting end.
Edit: If you don't have a window or balcony you can use, see if you can raise the punching bag stand just a little by wedging things under it. That will allow you to siphon more out.

Great! I think I can do that. I replaced old boob lights with canless LEDs and those went pretty smoothly.
Thanks!

Put one end of the garden hose in the container and get it down to the bottom of the water.snake the other end out a door or window. Lower the outside end till it would be lower than the other end that's in the tank. Then lift up the outside end and suck till the water is almost to you and then drop your end back down to the lower level. I'm sure there's a Google.

If you're able to remove the can housing in your ceiling then it'll be a relatively quick change. You can then jump from the can's junction box to the LED junction box. Then the new light just snaps up into the ceiling. Just make sure to buy the same size that you're removing.
Edit: I replied to myself rather than OP

If you remove the trim and see 3-4 small screws in the housing, remove them and the housing slides right down. Id remove the housing the wire that runs to the socket, but other than that it's all going to be a lot easier than people are telling you. I'm an electrician, so maybe it is a little easier for me. I don't think you'll have a difficult time with any part of this. If the housing is held up with clips, break the damn clips and get it out because you won't use them anywhere lol

Yeah I will have to try it out. Some people mentioned it might be difficult to remove those housings, especially since I won't have access from above. Those were put in by builders so not "old work" housings.

best option for short term use (e.g. occasional showering) would probably be a heated floor (hydronic or resistance)
that is expensive
there are a good number of floor insulation options out there via google
thick carpet with a very good, thick pad it not totally out of the question if you want a cheap readily available option

The siphon (using a tube and priming it by sucking water into it) will work so long as the end in the container is higher than the other end, so you can use it to mostly empty it into smaller containers on the ground next to it, until it is light enough to carry to a drain.
SmileFirstThenSpeak t1_j59shoe wrote
The hole is at the top. The end of your drain hose will be at the bottom (in the bathtub) so draining with a hose should work for most of it.
usedTP t1_j59sfs0 wrote
What about a siphon? A garden hose and a suck start is all you need.
