If only we all could afford and have the space and skills to have a wood shop. Our girlfriends would be so happy

What a thoughtful gift! I had to do a double take, because I thought this was in r/MakeupOrganization—they’d love this over there.

That's pretty cold light IMO. Lost in translation maybe? We say "warmer" light when the color temperature goes down.
(Etymologically I think it's because of the color of a fireplace.)

The fact he pulled out a track saw when it's not needed is what shows he's far better equipped than your average DIY guy.

We purchased an Earlex HV 5500 system to repaint our kitchen cabinets. It was easy to use, easy to clean and we achieved terrific results. It was not too expensive, and it saved us a pile of money by doing the job ourselves. We decided to buy that machine because my husband also does woodworking as a hobby and we thought he might use it again.

Having the tools doesn’t mean they are needed for every job. And he absolutely did not need a track saw for that cut. Sure, it made it easier, but there are other ways to do it that don’t require any expensive tools.
The finished product looks amazing, but I 100% disagree that a newbie couldn’t do this.

That he's got access to a track saw shown there makes me think he's quite familiar with carpentry. This isn't some beginner DIY....

Thank you! I hate the “natural wood” worship. Yeah, I love the natural look, but not everything needs it. Perfect example of over doing it: Scott Philips. Love his work, love his skill, hate his taste. The dude’s house and shop look like a lumberjack’s whorehouse.

If the sexes were reversed, she'd be thinking about buying you an engagement ring over this.
