Bro had to bring trump into a topic where trump was never mentioned or even slightly relevant. No one cares about your fetishized thoughts of trump. You act like Trump is the only person in business or politics who has used loopholes in taxes to minimize loss. If you really think Trump is such a massive threat to your life right now I don't know what to tell you.

Did you try directly with the state? I used their online system this year and it was just as easy as turbo tax. I answered questions and plugged in some numbers and it did all the work. I printed and checked it.

I would suggest doing that. It is called my connect. Then print all 3 side by side and see what is different.

Also where did you move? And did you work in CT after moved? And are you using part year forms

CT has direct filing online through their site. I always did the calcs through one of the online programs (I use TaxHawk as Federal was always free) and then enter on CT site directly.

This doesn't apply if you're using TT online and this might not matter much because I haven't seen it myself but if you're using TT software, wait until April to send in. TT is always updating their software and there is no telling if they are updating to fix programming calculations.

We typically get a refund from the feds and have to pay CT but this year is unusual for us, we're getting a sizeable refund from CT along with a fed refund. Not sure why this year is different but I will wait until April to let things level off with TT software before sending in.
