The problem I have with these is that there is essentially zero control over the people delivering them. In my neighborhood in Bristol it’s hit and miss as to whether these actually get delivered, but when they are delivered essentially it’s just one person who drives down the street, throws a dozen or so of them randomly out the window as they go along, and then moves on to the next street.

I was at the doctor today and they required masks. As an immunocompromised person I really appreciate it when doctors and nurses can at least show respect for those of us who may have to always mask. I should at least feel protected when I get the medical care I am inevitably going to need because of said condition. It’s literally the least anyone could do to mask at the doctor.

Two separate acts essentially combine for income replacement and job protection. CTPL is for income replacement, and CTFMLA for job protection (and unpaid leave entitlement). To my knowledge you can use both concurrently. I would reach out to DOL to get info on the latter.

https://portal.ct.gov/DOLUI/FMLA-FAQs

The important section:

Pay While on Leave

Q9. Is my employer required to pay me when I take CTFMLA leave? Generally, CTFMLA leave is unpaid. However, an employee’s accrued, paid leave time with the employer, such as vacation, sick leave, personal leave or paid time off, may be applied to the leave if required by the employer or requested by the employee. An employee may choose to preserve up to 2 weeks of their accrued, paid leave time.

Additionally, wage replacement benefits under Connecticut’s Paid Leave program may apply, as well as short-term or long-term disability benefits, or workers’ compensation depending upon the eligibility requirement for those leaves. More information about Connecticut’s Paid Leave program is available at https://ctpaidleave.org/.

I switched from Xfinity to Frontier when I moved up north. I grabbed the Gig Fiber plan, and honestly haven’t looked back. Service is great, and I’m paying a fraction of the cost I paid for Xfinity Triple-Play service (Their surcharges are straight highway robbery)

The only thing thats not great is their Support, they take forever to schedule an appointment. Some genius decided to run through a utility pole in my neighborhood, took the power and internet out…didn’t get Service to replace the modem until like 3 weeks later.

They refunded me for the outage, and argued that they don’t have “enough techs for support”, which honestly baffles me considering the demand for Fiber in CT
