Is my job protected while I am out on paid family and medical leave?

Yes. Under changes to Connecticut’s Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), you are eligible for job protection (regardless of the size of your employer) after working at your employer for 3 months.

I think your HR is confusing Federal FMLA laws with Connecticut's Paid Leave program. The latter both protects your job and pays you. You only have to meet the worked-income eligibility requirement have worked for a covered employer anytime in the last 12 weeks

They should be looking for guidance around CTPL, not FMLA

On quick google I'm seeing a requirement to have worked Five quarters, but I would double check the elgibility requirements online - ctpaidleave.org

"Answer: An employee becomes eligible for Paid Leave benefits if they have earned wages of at least $2,325 in the highest-earning quarter of the first four of the five most recently completed quarters (the "base period”) and they are currently employed with a covered Connecticut employer. Those not employed, but had been employed by a covered Connecticut employer within the last 12 weeks, or those in Connecticut who are self-employed/sole proprietor and has enrolled in the program. "

Same experience here. Long call with Optimum. We actually called optimum and asked for a price match before we had Frontier install. They said no. $90 for 200 mb/s.

On the second tier of cancelation (after Fronteir installed) reps at optimum offered to match the price. Sheesh. We siad too late, Frontier is already installed. I asked them "Who actually cancels without a working replacement already set-up."

Ended up getting the 1gig for 65/mo total, came with 150 visa card and $10 off/mo YouTube TV, free install. We don't need a gig, but it comes out cheaper for the first year. We will probably drop to 500mb/s after a year.

Installer was great and didn't leave the nasty trail of ugly wires Optimum installed. The tech actually removed all of the old phone/unused lines. Install outside looks professional.

I am getting around 925 mb wired and high 800's wireless.

YouTube TV is way better than their crappy cable/dvr system.

The only downside I see at Frontier is that there seems to be longer hold times for support after install.

If you have Optimum, maybe go to the 2nd tier of cancelation and price match the internet.

These guys are trash. A while back, my wife's cousin and his friend started a goofy online "radio" show where they basically just had comedic and light-hearted discussions about current events and CT in general. They developed a bit of a following after a while, and people were starting to tune in and listen to these guys in decent numbers. The knew someone who got them a brief chunk of airtime on 99.1 as a one-off thing. The response was phenomenal and the station was discussing the possibility of making it a weekly or regular thing. All of a sudden, the station was no longer interested. Their contact told them off the record that several higher-ups didn't want it to happen. Guess which two guys stepped in and squashed the entire thing before it could take off? Sounds like they were feeling threatened by the young blood. Obviously this is purely anecdotal, but the guy still holds a grudge to this day.

Aside from this, the Chaz and AJ show is some of the most knuckle-dragging, brainless crap on the radio.

If the DJ’s suck in CA their replaced… Chaz & AJ get lifetime DJ gigs like a historical building on its last legs all about to collapse, but hey it’s historical.

They give off grumpy old man vibes as if once liberals DJ got their tax bill now upset because “adulting” the party’s over and the stench of the bill is too much.

The Dude in the afternoon is cool, but dammit get rid of “The one song one us” shit! Cuz in the morning sometimes those DJs wouldn’t like it to be “one song or one us”

Like I said, I could figure out the kiosk. I hit start, it said enter your lic plate number then it said insert your ticket. What ticket? In my defense I had just left a super stressful situation and was not thinking clearly.

Since Pam left they seem to have had trouble keeping the third person. So phil doesn't just do producing he's more involved in the show daily. They have a new fourth FM person Ruth now, and pat oats and Dave Reilly guest alot Phil's still there some days he's more prevalent than others
