I was afraid to switch to Frontier after everything I've heard about them but made the switch last summer and it's been rock solid since. Haven't had to deal with customer service though.
Glad to say goodbye to Charter with their speeds getting slower by the month and rates going higher.

There's also a garage you can access on the left right before the island splits South Main if you're travelling north. I find it's easier than riding around looking for an on-street spot.

I have 1TB in a pretty remote location up north. I have 23 devices connected. Two work from home and I game on it and it is fast. Rarely has issues and definitely not enough to annoy me. Awesome price. I love it

I have had it since the summer, haven’t had a single disconnection issue and through Ethernet I get full 940/940 every single time. It’s incredible and such a good price compared to what I was paying with Cox. Hope my current setup never changes in this regard

Cellular internet doesn’t compare to fiber. Not better, less consistent, higher latency.

Like I said, I could figure out the kiosk. I hit start, it said enter your lic plate number then it said insert your ticket. What ticket? In my defense I had just left a super stressful situation and was not thinking clearly.

I have it. Speed and signal are 100% dependent on where your house is and where in the house you put the router. Even in the rural area I get comparable speeds to Comcast.
My big gripe is because it’s basically a cell phone you get a dynamic IP that changes, which means every so often my devices stop working with it until I reset them and reset the router. I have to unplug and plug back in the router about once every two weeks on average, sometimes once a week.
It’s decent enough for now, but Frontier Fiber is coming to by neighborhood soon and I’m going to switch to that the second its available.

Yes, we switched to Frontier Fiber 500 Mbps from Optimum cable about 2 months ago. The worst part was canceling Optimum- it took 45 minutes of repeating “I would just like to cancel please” to 2 reps. They got down to 3 months free and then $30/month for 300Mbps cable, if anyone needs to save some money. Next time I will absolutely lie and say I’m moving to Antarctica.
Our Optimum service was dropping 10+ times a day- rebooting the modem was not effective. Speaking to tech support was not effective either. Their best suggestion was upgrading our service, but we really don’t have that many devices. Once I called to cancel, they offered to send a tech out same-day. So if you have issues, don’t bother with tech support, just say you want to cancel.
The installation with Frontier was good. They were scheduling a few weeks out when we booked it. There was no confirmation until 10 minutes before the installer showed up. It took about 4 hours because there was an issue at a neighbor’s electrical pole, but they kept calmly troubleshooting until it was working. We were scheduled for the 8-noon time slot. They arrived around 10 and we had a connection by 2pm.

Can’t say whether or not it’s better than Frontier but I’ve had TMHI for almost a year and it’s been excellent.

Can’t speak for frontier but I switched from xfinity and I am going to go back or to frontier. Signal will depend on your location but as for me, I get alright signal although I do notice during certain times things slow down. I mainly use it for phone and tv streaming. Also my biggest annoyance is once a day, maybe because so many people are using it at that time, my internet goes out. Shows good signal but nothing works. If I leave it alone it will come back on it’s own in an hour or so. Otherwise have to turn off and on the router and it comes back.

Switched from Optimum due to their garbage tech support and service. Frontier Fiber has been great so far. Would have gone with GoNetSpeed instead if they were in our town but they aren't yet.

My switch was fast and simple, competent and friendly installer. Switched over last fall. Haven't had an outage yet. It's blistering fast and I'm saving $40/month over the old cable cartel.
