They need something to talk about! Seriously though, the over reporting is out of control - with news 8 on the scene!

I had close to a total of two hours daily for a commute before the pandemic (It was probably around an hour and 45 minutes). I hated it. However, the job was one that was the right direction for my career, even though it was far away from home.

I get more work done at home because I don't have people coming into my office to bitch collaborate.
That's with the time I waste on Reddit!

Yeah, I had a similar commute pre-covid and I realized that I was spending upwards of 20 days a year sitting in my car, in traffic.
I'm still remote work all but one day a week, and I figure that I'd, at the very least, need to take a HEFTY raise to be convinced to do that commute again.
Got a new car in 2020 and it's only got 20k miles on it today - the wear and tear remote work has saved is pretty great, too.

According to this site:
https://www.neighborsbank.com/usda-loans/property-eligibility-map/
East Hampton, Marlborough, Portland, and Hebron are eligible for USDA loans, but Glastonbury isn't.

Depends on what town you live in
the further north you go the more snow you get.
Closer to the shoreline the less snow.
And I forgot, BETTER GO GET THAT BREAD AND MILK

Definitely see if you qualify for any first time homebuyer programs. Some banks have their own but also look into CHFA first-time homebuyer products!

My first mortgage was through McCue mortgage, which is local out of new britain. I have no complaints, over ten years and they never sold my loan were easy to deal with. My only frustration was their lack of technology/online access, but that has likely changed a bit since I used them.

I drove from an elevation of 900 feet down to Bradley airport at 4am, it was really shitty. It was predicted to be still rain at the lower elevations at that time, but its heavy wet snow. Not excited for the drive home today
