Makes sense. CT has a massive pet shortage. Most shelters are empty/have very quick turn around with exception to animals that are problematic that they probably just shouldn’t be adopted out.

When they aren't making money off of a virus fhe Chinese gave us, independents do. But jfc have you never looked into It? She made almost a billion off the private corporations she bought bc Lamont gave them the contracts. If thar isn't Rico act qualified for a governor to give contracts to a wife who has business in the south where wages are cheaper, then why was Rico invented for the"mob" that they never killed? The cartels they don't do shit against? Use Rico on them they're gone. All IL say. Defend commy Lamont more I'd be willing to guess your in on his payroll as Rico predicates

Well I mean yea but you’re cherry picking the best part of the state, I’m on the coast and it’s heavenly, but I’d argue that upstate South Carolina is nicer than upstate Connecticut. The inverse of your argument would be like comparing Charleston to Waterbury

CT abandoned the county system in 1959. So every town has its own municipal taxes and services (garbage, sewer, police, fire, etc.) We don’t have county taxes we have state income tax, state sales tax, and town property tax. We are taxed on real property (land, structures, vehicles), and businesses are taxed on real property and equipment.

Thats a tired old trope

Cant find anything new?

>Annie Lamont has more than 30 years of experience as a venture capitalist investing in transformative companies and entrepreneurs. In 2014, Annie, along with Patricia Kemp and Andrew Adams, launched Oak HC/FT, a venture capital firm that invests in early to growth stage tech-enabled companies shaping the future of healthcare information and financial services. Before founding Oak HC/FT, Annie was and remains a Managing Partner at Oak Investment Partners.

>Annie is known as a leading healthcare and fintech investor, appearing on the Forbes Midas List, Institutional Investor’s FinTech Finance 40 list, and the Top 100 Venture Capitalist rankings published by CB Insights and The New York Times. She was the first recipient of the National Venture Capital Association’s award for Excellence in Healthcare Innovation. Annie was also honored with Healthcare Private Equity Association’s 2017 Russell L. Carson Award for lifetime achievement in healthcare investing.

I thought republicans liked capitalists.

U live on the coast -no driving miles.

The small towns here dont have any major safety/drug crisis

The schools are good unlike coasts elsewhere

And trains available unlike other coasts

And these other states dont have the above.

Thanks for posting the link id give u my free award if reddit didnt get rid of them. I just felt helpless as my house is already full of rescues/strays so I wanted to help spread the word atleast. But your original comment made me do more research and now I can rest easy knowing they're doing everything they can to rehome the poor animals. So thank you for that!

What whine... mentioned our tax ranking, and combined with the leftist government we have, decided to react. Pretty excited actually, found a few places bordering state/national parks.

The article I read said they will be euthanized if they don't get adopted, but I can't seem to find it now. The article I just read said volunteers are trying to rehome them to another shelter/sanctuary, and euthanasia is a last resort. Seems like they're getting a lot of calls now, so hopefully everything will work out sorry for the misinformation.

How do you know they will be euthanized? Wouldn't they just go to the humane society (no kill) or one of the many other no-kill animal rescues in the state?
