That stinks, some warehouses don’t need the employees right now. Negative UPT and they are letting people go. I would, and I’m sure she will, complain to the management company.

People today are smarter than those older generations. We realize that risking our lives in order to get to work exactly on time is unbelievably stupid and pointless.

Ha.
People want the coast line developed, but then the prices will skyrocket even more and they will cry they can't afford it. Meanwhile, the damage to the environment is done.
But its those damn rich folks! 🤷

I don't disagree. I do the same. But I'm not fired when I'm 5 min late. I also get a sick time allowance of more than an hour per month (it might be different, but it's similarly low).

Almost finished one apartment complex in New London, and right across the train rails from new complex is another new one they'll begin building soon.

Management would tell her to leave several hours early and walk to work. With these types of jobs there is zero tolerance for not working exactly as scheduled. If you punch in/out 30 seconds late, you will face consequences, up to termination.

Single family housing on large lots is the desirable and economic form of housing, that's why we need to mandate it through zoning laws. /S

Education is bullshit. People only retain less than 10% of what they learn in a Classroom. Credentialism is a form of White Supremacy.

You can say that for edibles versus smoking marijuana and they are still two different experiences. My point was your average person has no idea what either are like and in general have an idea regarding LSD based on movies, propaganda, or outlandish ideas of what the experience is.

Hubby and I had a friend, Mike that was terminally ill and went many times to speak on this. Unfortunately, he passed away and was in awful pain. He would be happy to have had this option.

$20 an hour for zero education is good. Unfortunately, the conditions there suck

Depends on the employee’s history. There are certainly people on probation there due to taking too many days to WFH now.

Mystic is great for tourists. If you live here , it’s nice to visit once before it becomes boring and it’s overpriced . Hartford , New Haven , Bridgeport , Danbury and Waterbury are all garbage. I mean if you live in those towns then yes you know which are the better spots but for a visitor or new residents stay away from those places . Also anywhere like Bristol, Meriden etc are also crap. Foxwoods and Mohegan are the hot spot . Some nice skying spots as well and lots of country drive with great scenery . Local pubs and bar are all the same BORING. Any night life ends at 11pm lol. I lived in ct all my life and one thing I respect about this state is that it’s got some hardcore residents, some of the most hard working people I know lives here . Who wakes up Every morning , goes to work and have to deal with tons of Karen’s in one half and getho in the other half , then winter hits and they still go to work and have to deal with the cold and high prices shit. IMO They should have more mental wellness check center on every corner. Welcome to ct .

>The property is worth more like that and there’s demand for that.
Big if true. Lookup rea estate in new jerseys coastal cities, it isn't any cheaper in the denser areas than CT's shoreline communities.

Last firm I worked at the boss had a Maserati that could not handle his 5 mile commute if it snowed.
So everyone worked from home when it snowed.

The wealthy who live on the shoreline don't want commercial development near them.
