This is the best answer. It’s super fun, they baby sit you so you can’t get hurt. No one is generally a pro that makes everyone else feel bad. Go find a place with good food nearby after and you’ve got a good evening!

2 incomes, 175k Gross, I work in the creative tech industry my wife is in fitness. My job is based on NYC so I’m paid an NYC salary.
In May 2021 We were able to purchase an off market house in Norwalk 3b/2 ba .4 acre 2100 sq foot (that includes a 600 sq fully finished basement). We had a 5% down payment in cash then had 15k in cash for closing. No competing offers & the house appraised at offer value.
Happy to answer any questions!

EB expansion, offshore wind projects operating out of New London, Great Wolf Lodge, Preston Riverwalk, Business Park North in Norwich…..so we’re going to expand the housing supply along with all these jobs right?

Fire your travel agent.
I love CT and all, but as a vacation destination, absolutely not. First and foremost, I hope your girlfriend is also 21, because we have ridiculously strict drinking laws when it comes to age. She'll be left out of a ton of things if she isn't 21 as well. Second of all, CT is mostly inaccessible without a car. Our public transit is rather shite.
I just would highly suggest you go to NYC or Calirfornia or almost anywhere else, quite honestly. We're just not a "touristy" state.

I'm usually one to be pissed about schools closing way too soon. Last year my kid had two snow days for rain. But with the timing of this storm I get it. I just got to work and wouldn't want my kid on a bus on those roads

Household income is 250k+
I’m a software engineer, wife runs her own business we have two small kids.
House is 5000 sqft on 10 acres in the mountains just south of the Massachusetts border $3400/m
We have had to fix a ton of stuff on the house that wasn’t caught in the inspection though such as replacing half the roof, replace the AC, and replace the water heater and boiler (yay!)

Boo. I’m tired of war related jobs.
Give me infrastructure jobs, education jobs, social service jobs. Something that HELPS fellow people instead of blowing them up.

House: 230k @ 2.99% West Haven
Single income: 93k with bonuses that can push me a little over 6figures.
Kids: 0
Cars: 1 and paid off
Financial assistance: me, myself and I
At the time I purchased my only real debt was student loans and rent. Credit cards were paid off. Now I'm paying the one CC down again so I can focus on paying off my solar loan.

Out of all the states to see the coast line and you are being recommended Connecticut? As far as North East is concerned you are better off seeing Jersey, Massachusetts, or Maine. There's really not much here in CT and its underdeveloped with mostly small tightly packed residential homes and downtowns that do not really have anything to offer. I would recommend the Jersey Shore, areas like Spring Lake/Belmar/Point Pleasant/Asbury Park/Long Branch for food, nightlife, shopping, and entertainment. Most of those locations have train stops since renting a vehicle might bring a challenge due to age. If you do insist on seeing CT, check out downtown New Haven, West Port, or Fairfield CT. Most of Connecticut lacks luster, old homes, the long island sound is underdeveloped with not much night life, restaurants the few good ones are scattered along the coastline, I think there is a comedy club in Bridgeport CT, check out Mongers Market! St. Mary's by the Sea. Guilford/Madison area is nice and quiet. Check out Greenwich Polo Club if that interests you. Best of luck, def come during the summer!
