Ah so you're more prepared than I am. That definitely means a bust then 😒

Major cities probably no problems.
Bus service in towns like New Haven , Hartford, Bridgeport have bus stops on just about every corner, there are ride shares, uber,Lyft cabs etc.
Smaller towns may be less options.

Well. I love snow. But I have to drive to and from work in it so I’m not as excited. But my company really cares about my safety, they told me in an email today.

Ik, I don't read into it because I'm usually in the right when I say things and I know it. Even if it sounds self centered, there's no way to sugar coat it. You are probably are in the same boat as me

Just picked up some snowblower gas and added Sta-Bil. Power banks and battery backups for modem/router are ready to go. I hope we get more snow than projected!

The same people who complain about the line at Dunkin in the morning but are too lazy to make their own coffee at home

Not everyone has the money to put on snow tires every winter. A full set of tires is a month paycheck for most of these low-paid workers. And they already barely get by from month to month.

It’s whatever. I don’t need fake internet points for validation. I just find it interesting that I can post the most generic, non opinionated answer I could and yet people find the need to downvote it. I know I often play devils advocate or share controversial opinions which get downvotes but this was as vanilla of a post as I can possibly make.

I do plan on getting a vehicle in the future. I was thinking about moving to New Haven or West Haven. I originally wanted to move to Hartford, but you need a vehicle.

It's really all my fault. I bought my very first snow blower at the end of the season last year. It's still in it's packaging 😩

3 bedroom on an acre of land. Live by myself, one decent salary. I found the closing costs to be the biggest challenge. Overall, my monthly mortgage is less than any rent I have ever had to pay.

Snow is not as exciting with telework.
Between cellular hotspots and having a generator there is no excuse to not work due to a storm anymore.
It would be more exciting for it to be a real snow day.
Now I just get to work all day with loud kids in the background then spend the whole evening clearing the driveway and walks.

This time of year? It will all melt on Thursday when it’s 55, just in time for the 5-8 inches Friday night.

Will the TV weathermen take off their suit jacket and roll up their sleeves for this one?

Yes we are. We reached a point as renters that we could've paid off nearly half a house already over the last decade. We bit the bullet in order to build ourselves equity
