We're getting ready to move and the snowblower is buried behind a bunch of furniture we stored there for staging our current house...at least the shovel is accessible?

And another storm later this week, wooo

I miss it terribly, but due to many injuries, my ski bum days are over. Now I kayak/ice fish instead, and I'm much more upset about the lack of lake ice this winter. I work per diem as a snow shoveler and I haven't had to do it yet this year, so that's been nice. This storm will be the wet snow that sucks to shovel.

Schools will most likely all be closed due to the fact this will be the first snow day for most. If there had already been some they'd probably just wait and maybe delay, but at this point will probably just call it early.

I grew up close enough to Snowbasin to see the lift towers from my back yard. My buddy and I used to hike up there every Saturday and ski the Strawberry side for free. They didn't check tickets over on that side because you had to ride a lift to get there. Tickets were only about $15 back then, so we would recycle cans and secretly save lunch money to occasionally buy a ticket and ski the rest of the mountain. Easily the most underrated resort out there.

Got a quote from Sunrun for a lease in 2021 that had an associated $61k cash value. Total ripoff— Tesla quoted way less, maybe under $30k including a Powerwall.

Sunrun isn’t the way to go if you’re paying cash or financing.

I’m trying to have a polite political argument but instead you won’t I’ve proven you wrong multiple times so you leave instead of admitting your wrong lmao then you say I justify kids dying. Jesus it’s funny how when someone gets proven wrong they break down

Depends on their interests. I remember it being pretty boring being a teen in the Hartford area. That’s a tough age gap in some ways - about the same as my sibling and I. It’s like one is too old and the other is too young, and it’s hard to find things that would be interesting to both.

We have some cool outdoor places to explore. The rail trail along the CT River is fun. If they’re into hiking, look at some the land trusts in the region.

You could drive or take a train to New Haven. Walk around Yale campus, walk through the free museum, grab some food, check out some stores. Go to Edgerton Park, check out the free greenhouses. The older brother might like Strangeways. New Haven feels more like a city and I loved that stuff as a kid.

Alternately, head north to Basketball Hall of Fame, or maybe check out Northampton, Easthampton, Amherst.

Or check out Mystic Aquarium.

Go to energizect.com and click on "Supplier Rate FInder"

This will show you all of the alternative and their rates, lock-in periods, and REC percentage.

I chose Think Energy, and it was as simple as clicking the Enroll link, and filling out a form. I had to look closely at my bill to find some of the thinks they needed like billing cycle and name key, but it took all of 5 minutes.
