Reply to Is a 78,000$ salary, before taxes, enough to live comfortably with my non-working wife in Storrs CT? by siditumart
It depends on your debt and spending habits as well as expectations. You can survive but I wouldn’t say ‘comfortably’. Connecticut is an expensive state a car is a must especially where you plan on living. Rent for $1,400 overall in the state is considering to be on the low-mid range so depending where you decide to live the living arrangements may be sub par. I think looking into towns, school systems etc would be a good idea to gauge what rent may look like etc.

Yes! Express Lot 1 —-> elevator is awesome!

It’s not necessary to take the shuttle unless it’s hard for you to walk or something. Just walk to elevator.

Goshen has Nodines which is a pretty cool smoke shop with various cheeses as well. Not a dine in place but good stuff. The theater in downtown Torrington is pretty nice too.

If he needs rehab he's a prohibited person under current gun laws. Plus may have had an illegal large capacity magazine. Doesn't sound law abiding to me...

My mistake. I dug a little deeper in hopes of finding it but apparently it was just action shots they took while driving around.
The closest I found was a few people think they found the house in Essex but it is falling apart and overgrown. So maybe drive around the area and look for abandoned mansions.

It does. We have multiple world class art museums, gorgeous shoreline communities, live theater and concert venues, two resort casinos, historical sites....the list goes on.

The weather and seasons in CT are basically the same everywhere so there isn’t a town that would have more rain or more autumn than any other.
