NP. Also the crime in downtown Hartford isn't really a problem if you're just working there and maybe dining at night. Hartford is a commuter city so it kind of dies down after 6 pm. It doesn't have the heartbeat like New Haven or a big city like New York or Boston. Friday and Saturday are the only late nights in Hartford. Good luck and welcome to the States!

Nuclear submarines, major defense companies, close to NYC (high population). I would say yes. We would be one of the first non silo base places to be hit/targeted.
If you haven't already, I would suggest canned foods, bottled water and iodine pills. Enough to be able to live on for 3-5 months.

I've read reports that suggested Putin is sick and it's terminal.

Definitely rent. Haven't properly dived into that yet, just that most 2bd apts seem to go for 1.8-2.2k a month.

$147
2300 Sq ft house, oil heat (with wood stove going occasionally).
Edit: only 2 humans in the house. Hubs is home all of the time so if he was working out of the home, it'd be much lower, I'm sure.

The BOTS out there are numerous- be careful what sources you read. Greater Hartford now has the best housing market in the USA

"An American thinks 100 years is a long time; Englishmen think 100 miles is a long way." Stonington is nice; close to RI beaches and a lovely little town. It really depends on which side of the river hosts your new employer; focus on that side of the Thames. Oh, and welcome to Connecticut; I already love your accent!
