Yeah. Too bad the DNC screwed Bernie. People got all bent out of shape because he and his wife Jane bought a house for less than $590,000 just a few years ago. He’s been a public servant his entire life; I personally don’t think that is outrageous considering what others in public service make and spend without any thought (and this goes for both parties, no political sides in play).

West end of Hartford or West Hartford are close enough to take the bus. West end very quiet and a heterogeneous mix of people and incomes. I would rather live here than West Hartford proper. Property taxes can be high in Hartford.

West Hartford has everything you need but still just a quick bus ride down Farmington Ave to downtown Hartford. Probably easier to find housing but it's also a bit crowded. Very popular shopping and dining areas. Both places very nice to raise a family.

The other towns you mention are also nice residential suburbs but you'll need a car for sure. US suburbs are nice and quiet but you need a car to function within the paradigm. The commute sucks unless you leave early for/from work.

December $475…. Hot tub and mini splits running 24/7… keep in mind half the month was at the $0.24kw/h rate half was $0.12. January 100% wood stove at $0.12kw/hr was $250. No oil consumption and I aggressively change my electrical supplier. Tired of spoon feeding Eversource CEO’s! Anyone who doesn’t change their supplier is just a big dope lol.
