There were two different applications, it seems like you might’ve picked the wrong one. I did not get asked if I got sick with Covid.

So 70s and 80s there was quite a pizza desert going on in this area, I think people were happy with a certain quality, and crave it as that's what they grew up with. Heck even middletown back then had really bad pizza (from what old timers tell me regarding type and style). Is this the plaza at the top of 16 and 149?

Probably gonna head on there to check it out, yeah. Got some buds playing in bands at the fest, so would be nice to support em.
As a side note though, I'm really proud at the local scene that has been built up in CT over the last few years. If you are a fan of metal and/or prog, then there is a shitload of really good bands. The beeracks has emerged as such a great venue to both play and visit too, really happy about their emergence.
My band isn't playing this fest, but we've actually booked the Beeracks to put on a Prog Rock/Metal fest sometime in August. That will be a real good time as well if you are into that sort of thing as well.

They denied me stating that I didn't get sick with covid. I was asked questions that my coworker wasn't.

Absolutely disgusting. I know sending emails won’t actually change anything but I feel like eversource needs a slap in the face with some reality via dozens of emails.

It’s essentially the 2013 CT assault weapons ban but with food. I know it’s not a perfect comparison, but it’s a starter for the issues I personally have with this manner of reducing gun violence.
Regarding my (contrived) analogy: people do notice the selectivity. AR-15 style rifles are not banned in this state, they just have a $3000 price tag for being made before 1994. Ironically the target pistol used in the Olympics is an assault weapon and illegal under CT law.
Having destitute populations and readily available firearms and you will yield gun crimes. You take away the guns and all you’re left with is destitute people. Addressing the economic and social issues that drive people towards committing violent acts will prevent more of these acts long term. But it’s a lot harder to do this.
It’s not a fix to the issue. It’s aspirin for the side effects.

It’s not working at all as intended. Capitalism assumes a competitive market, the energy companies are oligopolies and have no competition.

You can enact tighter regulations, background checks etc.. Bottom line is if someone is hell bent on inflicting harm on another person they will find a way to do it!! Whether it be with a stolen gun, a knife, hammer, or use their car to run someone over. The problem is not guns, knives, hammers, cars etc. it’s 100% a mental health issue. Guns are not the issue!! I’m not even a gun owner!!

Just as a quick caveat, they count children as under 19, which is misleading. Also, most of those homicides are younger black males in poor neighborhoods who are killed with illegal handguns by other younger black males. More gun laws aren’t going to change that because the root cause is generational poverty.

I have 2 friends who were denied, they both entered wrong info, so likely it’s something you did wrong

This is one of the biggest issues I see with younger adults who are trying to move from renting to owning/mortgage. I hear all the time “well I can afford an $1800 rent payment, so of course I can afford an $1800 mortgage payment.” Principal and interest is only one part of paying for a home.
While that might be true with some people doing very well financially, it’s not necessarily true for most because you have to factor in property taxes, home insurance (way more expensive than renters insurance), and any upkeep or repairs that could occur that you wouldn’t be responsible for as a renter. That $1800 mortgage principal and interest payment is more like 2500-2800 for the complete monthly payment after adding in tax and insurance in CT.
And even though I own a “newer” house (about 22 years old) it’s amazing how often things break or repairs/replacements are needed for expensive appliances. All of that needs to be factored in to the question of “can I afford the home” that many often overlook.
Yes, I want more people to be able to afford/buy a home. But I also want them to be in a financial position to smartly and responsibly do so so they’re put in a stressful or financially dangerous situation down the road.
