You really don’t though. I went in at 220+ You will sweat a lot and get tired, but it’s often things that can be modified. It’s a great way to GET into whatever shape you’re going for. Mostly because it’s fun and makes you use your head.

I'd also like to know where there are "good" fishmongers out there. I know of City Fish on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield.

Any others?

BJJ legitimately saved my life during a similar situation. I was down and completely alone, only time I’ve been self harming in my life and lost 30 lbs over a month. I was thrown this exact lifeline by a friend with a school and there are not enough words for what it did for me. It got me eating better so I’d feel better on the mat, gave me a community (I only rolled sundays so it was a small tight group at a small school), and most importantly, it really opened up the creative parts of my brain that had been mostly closed since I stopped playing music around the end of high school. BJJ brought me passion and the will to live, and the passion absolutely did not just stick to jiujitsu. It was the best therapy I ever had.

Sadly, I had to get spinal fusion for an unrelated work injury and haven’t been back since 2015. But if someone is offering their mat like this, it’s always worth TRYING. You’ll be beat and wiped out at first but if it clicks for you, you just found something that will be with you forever 🖤

They print in lower volume now, so it costs them more to print per issue. I subscribe to the digital edition (but currently get free Sunday papers delivered as a bonus). It only costs a few bucks a month, a small price to pay to keep local reporters employed. We don't have as many journalists to hold local officials to account as we once did, and God help us if we lose all the local reporters.

I’m almost positive that the person that posted this also posted a similar thread yesterday in this sub using a different account.

They were both in the same area (Bristol) looking for money and both users worked for a food delivery service.

Could be ripping people off, could genuinely be in need of help, I don’t know. Still think its strange that they’d use two different accounts.

The version you posted died in the Education committee last year, but was reintroduced on January 18th of this year in the same committee.

Here is the page for the Education Committee, you can see which legislators staff the committee and can contact them to express your support of the bill. You may even be able to sign up to testify on it to them if it's going to be the subject of an upcoming public hearing (not sure if it is).

When i bartended I was making upwards of $40hr most the time. My hourly pay just went to taxes and my check was void net zero. You’ll be paying $35 for a burger and $15 more to add fries to pay a living wage most servers and bartenders are used to. Not sure why people think the restaurant is just stuffing away money. Successful restaurants operate on razor thing margins of less than 5%. If they end up paying servers a flat min wage there will be no staff to work. If they up the pay to something they are more used to $25+ an hour. Prices to eat out will rival a whole grocery haul.
