Look up Free State Appliance Service on Yelp. I think it’s a one man shop but I’ve spoken with Brian multiple times (I’m assuming he’s the owner). On multiple occasions he’s given me tips on some appliance issues over the phone and in one case he was able to troubleshoot my fridge issue over the phone, I ordered a new evaporator fan on Amazon and replaced it myself and had it back up and running really quickly.

If you have insurance, check your insurer's website for doctors in network. If you don't and you're paying cash, just find a doctor specializing in internal medicine online and make an appointment. Have your doctor send over your file in advance of the appointment.

It is a bit fishy that they don't seem to care about whether or not a doctor accepts insurance or if a doctor is in their network, or really anything other than "I need my pills!"

If it's legit and insurance isn't a factor, then finding a doctor who will diagnose and prescribe a prescription based on a referral from their doctor is pretty simple - esp. if they're paying cash.

The bike lane is almost unusable in the Fall. All the debris gets blown from the roadway or falls into the bike lane and then it’s a hazard to ride in. Before they “fixed” Oakland mills road, the vehicle traffic would grind up the leaves and break down the sticks, not so anymore. Much like everything, this was a reasonable plan but in execution it pretty much sucks to ride it.

Yeah Payne's is fine if you want the hustle and bustle and all the extra stuff they sell there

But if you all you want is a tree I recommend cut your own at Feezer's farm.

Not far at all, really low key, get to cut it yourself, and they will shake it and put it on your care for you.

You walk a minute or two from where you park to the trees. Very simple and restful ( other than hearing the two gun ranges nearby haha)

It's legal-ish. Some sales people will ask to see your bill. There is a number on there they can use to switch your account. At that point it's fraud if you don't agree to it - but from what I've heard it's hard to get anyone to really care about it. If you didn't show them your bill, there isn't much you can do now.

In the future, if someone is going door to door and they don't have a vendor badge you can contact OCP by phone at 410-313-6420 or by e-mail at consumer@howardcountymd.gov , or call the non-emergency police number.

Just assume anyone coming door to door is a scam. It's not a viable or responsible way to conduct business.

Never show anyone at the door your electrical bill, that's all they need to switch you over. It's technically illegal, but that won't stop them, and they get a commission on each switch. Many people don't notice for months , and then usually end up having to pay a fee to switch.

BBB has 104 complains filed with Arcadia currently - so yeah, the company might not be a scam, but I'd be wary of doing business with them. The person going door to door however, may be running a scam.
