They used to be better, they would switch your provider almost monthly to whoever was lower but they stopped doing that about a year ago. I think I save about $8 /month with the solar farm option.

It’s not a scam, you pay the BGE rate minus solar farm credits that are divided up between their customer base. Note, it does take 2-3 months after signing up before you become eligible for the credits though. You also have to be comfortable making your payment to Arcadia and Arcadia paying the BG&E bill. Also, I read about it online and signed up online. I did not sign up through a salesperson so I’m not sure if that’s factor.

I signed up for Arcadia to take advantage of their community solar program. I was with them for about 2 years and our rate was the same compared to BGE. Plus they accepted credit card payments which I would use for credit card rewards.
This summer I went all in on solar and got panels to cover my electricity usage. I cancelled Arcadia right after that.
Also you can often call up threatening to cancel and they'll give you bill credits to stay on. I got $75 off one winter month.

Yes, its probably a legal scam; many alternate energy suppliers basically promise you the moon (and actively lie to you) and you don't pay much less and probably more.

We have a No Soliciting sign at the entrance to our condo complex. The few times an idiot rings my video doorbell I angrily ask "did you not see the No Soliciting sign at the entrance"?

Family Karaoke on 40 in Ellicott City is also a nice spot with private rooms and a liquor license.

SCAM SCAM SCAM. They come around after hours when the main offices are closed because soliciting is illegal. Report them to your office in the morning so the older folks in your community don’t get scammed.

Karaoke bar behind the Diner on Route 40 is really chill and tucked between some nice KBBQ places. Mostly private karaoke rooms and good drinks.

Nothing illegal, just don't open the door to strangers and get a doorbell cam if your landlord allows it.

Yes. They will bait-and-switch you with a low promo rate, then jack up your charges. Some of them will ask to see your account statement. Don't give it to them, because if you do, they'll switch you over without your permission.

I hate that the county uses these steep mountable curbs in residential areas rather than a normal 90 degree curb along the road with a lower-pitched apron for driveways.
Besides scraping cars with lower ride height, it also encourages people parking along the road to drive up the curb and park on the grass between the road and sidewalk.
Luckily our driveway is fairly low pitch, but my next door neighbor's isn't and I hear his car scrape every time he leaves. Maybe I'll recommend this to him.

20-25 minutes for me. I bought a Wii U from the Archive on Main Street and didn’t have a problem carrying it back in a box to my apartment on Town and Country. We lived in the very first building on corner of T and C and Rogers Ave, though.

Is that not a 30-40 minutes walk?

You may not love hearing this, but get a roommate. You can get a much better and nicer place if you are sharing a two bedroom apartment, or town home, especially if you are just graduating and moving to a new area.

The one with a path around it next to the residential area that has signs that say "no swimming"

Yeah, it’s pretty bad, I don’t understand why there’s such a steep drop off between the driveway and the street.

I've got some friends who run karaoke. Check out IDJProDJ and Red Carpet Entertainment.
I think Sonomas was recently picked back up, and that bar also has trivia.
In Savage, Dive Bar has karaoke multiple times a week. It's a cute bar, and always a good time. Tommy, the guy that runs it, is hilarious.
His partner, Thiery, runs Odies, State Fare in Catonsville, and a few others as well.
The Catonsville run is the most popular. El Guapo, State Fare and I think there's one more.
Any and all of these will have nights like you're looking for, a.d the people you'll meet will be friends for years.

I have them but I'm in carroll co. Ebay had the best prices I could find with free shipping from New Jersey, got 3 of them. They are heavy but they still move around and need to be repositioned every so often.
