It’s not a scam, you pay the BGE rate minus solar farm credits that are divided up between their customer base. Note, it does take 2-3 months after signing up before you become eligible for the credits though. You also have to be comfortable making your payment to Arcadia and Arcadia paying the BG&E bill. Also, I read about it online and signed up online. I did not sign up through a salesperson so I’m not sure if that’s factor.

I signed up for Arcadia to take advantage of their community solar program. I was with them for about 2 years and our rate was the same compared to BGE. Plus they accepted credit card payments which I would use for credit card rewards.

This summer I went all in on solar and got panels to cover my electricity usage. I cancelled Arcadia right after that.

Also you can often call up threatening to cancel and they'll give you bill credits to stay on. I got $75 off one winter month.

Karaoke bar behind the Diner on Route 40 is really chill and tucked between some nice KBBQ places. Mostly private karaoke rooms and good drinks.

I hate that the county uses these steep mountable curbs in residential areas rather than a normal 90 degree curb along the road with a lower-pitched apron for driveways.

Besides scraping cars with lower ride height, it also encourages people parking along the road to drive up the curb and park on the grass between the road and sidewalk.

Luckily our driveway is fairly low pitch, but my next door neighbor's isn't and I hear his car scrape every time he leaves. Maybe I'll recommend this to him.

I've got some friends who run karaoke. Check out IDJProDJ and Red Carpet Entertainment.

I think Sonomas was recently picked back up, and that bar also has trivia.

In Savage, Dive Bar has karaoke multiple times a week. It's a cute bar, and always a good time. Tommy, the guy that runs it, is hilarious.

His partner, Thiery, runs Odies, State Fare in Catonsville, and a few others as well.

The Catonsville run is the most popular. El Guapo, State Fare and I think there's one more.

Any and all of these will have nights like you're looking for, a.d the people you'll meet will be friends for years.
