What was the deal with symphony lights? Why did they go to court?

From the last CA Board Meeting on Nov. 10th.

She said everything I think that needs to be said. If you're reading this Christie, that was about 3 of the best minutes in the entire meeting.

The debacle over the symphony of lights was settled out of court. Now the CA board wants all the details. But it’s confidential.

Yeah I agree. If you can't lay out your reasons in a specific manner than it must not be a good argument.

No one knows the exact reason, which is why I said they have too much power. They have zero oversight and have pushed back against anyone who tries to speak up. The elections are in April, they need to be voted out. They’re going to try oust her beforehand and misuse community funds in the process.

What a waste. What exactly does the CA do these days besides maintain the walking paths and argue amongst themselves?

One of the first articles tried to back solve for the issues and best they could come up with was the board was upset she tried to limit their access to individual CA employees, something individual CA employees asked for to reduce distractions and allow them to do their jobs.
It’s a power trip.

"Boyd asked the Board of Directors to clarify her position and address speculation that the board was lining up a replacement at a meeting on Oct. 27. Tensions between Boyd and the board stem from complex issues surrounding disclosure of a legal settlement, ethics violations and policies, and perceived board micromanagement." from the article
The board is being vague saying they don't want to discuss the issues, employees and the community seem to show wide support for her.

There usually something going on last event I went to was for MS they had prize drawings, there was a band the place was pretty pack and everyone was having a great time, and if there's not an event you're guaranteed to see the same locals. Next to hysteria there's lost ark a distillery they usually have some type of event going on. Actually Columbian has a couple of breweries and distilleries close .

Good idea friend and yes I can do backstroke and it seems to cause less energy consumption than free style.

Came here to recommend Great Sage. Their food is great and they change up the menu seasonally.

Dance was always my social outlet. There’s a good Swing community locally. Salsa was my poison :-) the promenade is fairly close and offers lessons if you want to learn

"widespread support that Boyd has from association employees and community leaders."
Everyone likes this lady...so they want to get rid of her...yeah, that makes sense! We need to vote these idiots out next year. Not only are they getting rid of someone who most people like and support, they are throwing away $600,000 of OUR money to do it.
