This is completely out of left field - but a friend of a friend I'm connected with through facebook is running a queer friendly baking and boudoir class for a small handful of people.

Not all my scene - but if it is yours, you might find this to be fun and I will vouch for the photographer as being a genuinely awesome woman.

Hi! My husband and I are in our early 30s and we're big into board games and DnD nerds. DM me if you are into those things!

I'm mostly curious because I'll have a teen in a few years, but do they need to go into a bank? I haven't in at least 8 years (or more?), but not sure if teens would have other needs? I never use cash, but not sure if they do? Venmo and electronic transfer should cover most, no?

As another point: I use Schawb for bank. Zero fees from any atm, great CS. Of course no branch to visit

We went to them for custom shades and while they were very nice and had a good selection, their prices weren't competitive. They quoted us almost $5000 (probably to the tune of $25k for the whole house) on two bedroom windows. We ended up spending about that on the entire house (not 2 windows but 11 windows) with custom blinds and wood valiances with all the features we wanted elsewhere.

I don't know if they operate the same way with their floors, they made it very hard to shop local with the prices they quoted us. It made me sad we couldn't go to a locally owned place, but the markup was just too, too high. I did think their shop was very nice, they were so helpful and if their quality was half as good as their bedside manner then that may be worth the cost for some.
