Maybe you shouldn’t talk a young child to an adult concert.

Stop at the customer service booth(it’s on the left hand side of the property if you’re looking at the stage) and you can get a free certificate that it’s your first concert at Merriweather!

Leaning on things is absolutely fine, and I have nothing against drunk people on the whole. The last time I was at Merriweather, for a Panic at the Disco concert, a very drunk lady puked down the back of my leg and covered my sock, foot and filled my shoe. It was my daughter’s first concert and not what I was aiming for. There’s nowhere to sit except for blankets at Merriweather. There’s also a problem with people bringing in the ganja. I had no idea when I took my very young child. I didn’t expect to be engulfed in huge clouds of smoke. And I’m 420-friendly, just not for my kid.

Get there early so you reserve your spot which means dealing with parking traffic too, depending on where you got your parking. Essentially lawn is first come first serve spots, and people claim space with blankets like 4th of July. Most people are usually are respectful of that and hopefully you don't have a bad experience where a person moves it. After that you can go get merch or food.
The last thing you want is a bad spot next to lights or over the hill where you can't see. Oh also expect people to be smoking weed back there. Happens more often than not.

Sorry about that, we like to lean on things.

Stay away from the fences. That’s where the very drunkest of people tend to hang out.

Also claim your lawn seat first then go get stuff if you want. Was there for AJR and it was a great time. If you like margaritas they have the best I have ever tasted even if I did spill it all :(. But seriously have fun!!! The traffic is real tho. I live a mile away and it’s hate the traffic during concerts

I haven’t been in a while but I can tell you about traffic. the venue is right of Rt29 but there is often a big backup of cars waiting to get in when there are big shows. I’d add time to your trip to account for that, even though the venue is right off the highway.

Mad cow grill in Laurel has amazing burgers! I also second Ale House. Jailbreak changed their menu a few years ago with some fancy new chef and I don't personally like it as much as before.

Definitely high. I was just in the same situation -- 2 bedroom apt with 2 people, and usually only paid around 20-25 per month.

As a dog owner, I just stay away from other dog owners. I don’t think what the dog owner did is unreasonable. I do believe Columbia is home to a lot of bad dog owners though.

I recommend the bun, a bit more expensive but incredibly delicious and I can guarantee you'll be full, I struggle to finish it most times

If your bill isn’t from Howard County Water and Sewer department, then it’s submetered at the property. The property may have a leak somewhere or your neighbors are extremely wasteful, because that is way high. For reference, I pay $100 quarterly for a household of 4 and that includes watering my garden.

The margaritas there are really good. They have a parking garage nearby which should be free to park in. There are also some good restaurants nearby too like Thai and Indian.
