Add additional moderators, and seek community input before adding new rules.

Start by unbanning everyone you’ve banned in the last 24 hours and then maybe a conversation about moving forward can happen.

I drove through the intersection in question today (remarkably, without being spit on).
I'm guessing the driver in question was turning right at the bottom of the bridge, and cut somebody off.

Joined! We needed a forum where we can actually discuss the relevant topics of the city without worrying that a single person in power can stifle the conversations they don’t like.

The number of drivers I’ve seen just mindlessly staring at their lit up phones behind the wheel while trying to t-bone me at an intersection is incalculable. Just get on the bus or the train if you really can’t take your eyes off your phone long enough to drive safely

The present moderator here isn’t waiting. They’ve banned and muted numerous users for questioning them. The Mod invited members to PM them with questions or concerns regarding their decisions and it seems anyone who questioned or criticized them was either banned or muted — even for doing so in private at their invitation.
How’s it an echo chamber when /r/camberville has yet to ban anyone? This is a bad take and honestly, the Mod here is the one who needs to take a break.

Yeah the mod is certainly power tripping and having an overreaction to something that only happened to them (probably for poor driving) and affecting a whole community with their continued poor decisions.

I've been randomly spat at once on the Charles River paths and I'm 99% sure that was a homeless guy who was a bit out of his mind. That or he didn't like my Classic Rock playlist.

Of course, all bike discussion is welcome as long as it’s civil. The only thing is I don’t want the sub to get overrun with jokes about the bike ban from the get go.

Yeah it looks like that post got removed, unfortunately. What a mess.

There's a request page someone noted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/boston/comments/yiy6mj/cambridgema_refugees_new_sub/iulz7ww/
It seems to mostly be if you want to take over moderatorship of an inactive sub though. I tried making a request here: https://www.reddit.com/r/redditrequest/comments/yjb39w/request_utaylorhayward_boston_be_removed_as_mod/?
But the request bot seems to just yell at you if you make a request for a sub with an active mod.

OP claims the got banned for this post. If that's true, that's pretty shitty, u/taylorhayward_boston.

There a lot of unpaved sections and loops around the Charles, Fresh Pond, the reservoir near BC, the mystic lakes in winchester, etc. There are gravel and mountain bikable paths through the Fells and Blue Hills.
In Danvers, there's a rail-trail that's all unpaved and runs for about 5 miles.

Yeah, entirely paved. If you go a couple blocks past the Bedford end of the trail, you'll get to the Reformatory Branch trail, which is a mix of single track, double track, and gravel. It's delightful, and ends in Concord.
Edit: lolz, spelling

Keep it local. Cambridge Health Alliance or bust. You're banned.

The Minuteman goes through Arlington and Lexington to Bedford, which is approximately 10 miles from Alewife.

Have a moderator team that doesn't institute odd topic bans over personal events or circumstances.
For example, if I was a mod here: A car driver tried to kill me. I also read that many motorists can be violent and that cars are controversial. This doesn't mean that as a mod that I'd limit posts around it.
