Oh that’s weird when googling Reddit threads about trimmers/clippers by far the top recommendation was Wahl that’s the only reason I was looking at them. Interesting to know that’s not necessarily the case.

Sure, but then you'd have a Wahl.
Buy once, cry once. I must have bought 6 or 8 Wahl's before I decided to get a good product. Granted, I never did get a Magic Clip though.

I really liked that Norelco 5000/7000/9000 line for the size and price but they don’t come with a 1” guard and I couldn’t find any aftermarket for it so it would limit it to just a beard trimmer for me (which isn’t necessarily a no-go).
I have heard some pretty great things about Osters and that one looks sick, but for the same price I can get the cordless Magic Clip (or corded) and it comes with the 1” guard, so I’d probably go that route unless it’s significantly better.

I know you wanted cordless, but I have the Ooster 76 and it's simply fantastic. Talk about BIFL, this thing is a beast.
I also did just get this Philips Norelco for beard trimming. Is pretty damn good. But haven't had it for very long.

frozen fruit wise, ive only used it for smoothies with frozen bananas and frozen berries. i cut the banana up before it goes into the blender. it purees the stuff easily

You just need to purchase them from a reliable source because Amazon's full of Chinese counterfeit EZ DUZ ITs that uses cheap ass metal in the blade that dull in weeks instead of decades like the real deal.

I have a classic Swing-Away purchased in 2005. Still working like charm. I had purchased their smaller sized version a year or 2 later and it was cantankerous to use. I lost the smaller one somewhere along the way. I don't miss it.

You're right--i believe they sell many different types of clothing and their socks are probably blends.
I guess the point of my rambling post was to comment on how well those pieces have held up over the years, but I'm hesitant to buy more out of fear that they ain't what they used to be. Some of the reviews on their site support my concerns. Some buyers say the fit and feel is different. I just need to stop being so demanding. :)

After some digging, it appears to be a mixed bag. You are correct, SW has 100% wool "base layers". However, they do not offer 100% natural fiber jackets, underwear, or socks. This is confusing terminology to me, since underwear and socks fall under the "base layer" definition when you consider how to layer clothing on in cold weather (oversocks are a thing).
So, I guess we were both correct in a way.

The tag says 100% merino and SWs website says 100% merino on their base layers. Are you sure theyblend in other materials?

I've gone through way too many can openers. Many suck. The one I have now is the Amazon Commercial steel one which works like a champ.

For years I've always had a few P38 and P51s on the key chain, in the toolbox, hand out to friends, etc. In a pinch also works as a screwdriver.

I also went through 3 pairs of Chaco Sandals before I stopped buying them.
Apparently products that others use for years and years I kill in just one. I don't think I'm using them differently, they just end up breaking on me.
