Not sure if you're looking for a window unit, but the new U shaped units are fantastic. A few companies sell them but I think they are all the same. So so quiet. Certainly not a bifl. A little more expensive, but so worth it.

Reply to [Request] Best large titanium water bottle with carry handle on lid? by mrattentiontodetail
So I've gone down the titanium bottle rabbit hole before, and while titanium is tougher than steel, you'd likely be better off buying a steel bottle like Klean Kanteen. Pretty much all titanium bottles you buy are made in china and thin. They dent and puncture easier than steel. That said Snow Peak is probably the most reputable brand, but in my experience its not any better than a titanium bottle from AliExpress as they're likely made in the same factory.

Agreed. Newer models are more efficient AND the refrigerants are considerably less harmful to the environment
People here seem to have a bifl ethos for absolutely everything but it shouldn't apply to absolutely everything imo

Isn’t that just matrix trench coats?
Like latex or “very-shiny-material-that’s-not leather-but-are-made-to-trick-you-in-to-think-it-is-leather” -trench coats?

Had the same coat for years, gave it to a girlfriend who got it perfectly so the bottom edge just draped her ankles.

Wool is naturally water resistant. It's an amazing material.

My apologies, English isn't my native language, but it does keep the water out! I've worn it for hours on end in a typical Dutch rain storm and it held up great!

We've had our share of school shooters use them to hide weapons, they are frowned upon unless you're a white chick with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.
I was just tossing a little goof out there. Glad you've got a great jacket! Nothing better than finding undeniably great product.

I’d call that water resistant, but that’s just me. Wool will still wet out after a while regardless of how compacted it is.
In any event I’d like to see how long it lasts in the rain! I bet it will manage for a while.

It's very tightly compacted wool that's been cooked or something, I'm not exactly sure I'll ask a coworker of mine who knows more about this tomorrow! Might also be called velt, not entirely sure
