Yeah, you should add two inches to your waist size to get your belt size. Id it’s still not small enough, I think a cobbler will punch an extra hole so it can be cinched in tighter.

I had the brown one since 1987 and then my cat three years ago jumped on a the table where it was sitting knocking it to the floor breaking the cage and one of the wings. I was sooo bummed!

Well, that's the one caveat: they're kind of not anymore. The plastic clips that hold the guards on have gotten brittle with age, and they'll break if you don't use a specific removal technique. Also the blade can get stuck on there and could shatter if you're not careful removing it too.

Both unintentional age-related issues that wouldn't have affected them back in their day though, and once you get the blade off the first time you can prevent it from happening again.

I think your math might be out. Between two machines, they've made 68000+ shots. A cup is two shots, so 34000 cups/365 days * 12 years (ish). So almost 8 cups a day between 2 people.

I'm not denying there might be an addiction issue here, but it's not quite that bad. What I find funny is that that's over 11 tons of coffee that's come out of these two machines.

Precisely everything I like about them. I specifically got the Lasko branded ones instead of the Galaxy ones for that reason, even though the Lasko ones are harder to find.

The fact you are buying this for a wedding and not for daily work basically says it all. I buy a lot of things BIFL but dress leather belts has never been one of them. Go to a thrift store and find a $10 belt that meets your needs most of them are brand new. I got one to begin with and as time passed and I needed a different color, and a plain one... My entire life I've never needed more than the 3 I have. You definitely don't need BIFL for weddings as someone who has been in what feels like a million of them due to having a large family.
