Sierra designs had a good puffy jacket. I bought it back in 2003 and it is still going strong. Also mountain hardware is a great brand and you may be able buy used.

Nest Bedding Easy Breather. It’s filled with shredded latex that you can remove. I’ve had one for 5 years and it’s going strong.

I recently got a coop pillow thanks to this sub and it’s the best

Most high-speed quality blenders like a Vitamix are not going to have glass pitchers. This is because the RPM/motor is so powerful, if you try to blend something like grains, or something else that is hard, you can crack the pitcher.

The first time you drop it, you’ll break the head off at the thread. That’s how 95% of these shavers die, I suspect. At least the ones with a heavy handle shaft - maybe the ones with a lightweight handle survives a fall better.

I have a vintage glass pitcher waring, it has seven speeds. I don't know what the rpms are, but it does everything I need it to.
It was a wedding present for my parents in 1975, which was passed on to me after my mom couldn't stand the Harvest Gold color anymore, but it's been in use over forty years. I bought a second one in Avocado green to use in my cabin.

The only thing that’s not “buy it for life” about the Merkur is that it’s chrome plated. While the chrome plating is very thick, if you drop it enough times on hard surfaces (over the course of ~10 years) you’ll chip the plating.
It’s still an excellent value and I replaced it with another Merkur. My blade preference for the Merkur is Astra Superior Platinum.

I was about to comment asking if that was some marlinespike shit or if that was a factory weave and I just couldn't tell the difference.

Ain't no one gonna talk about that lanyard? Is there some marlinespike shit going on here or is that just something made by a machine and I can't tell the difference from the picture?

I'm 90% sure that's the model I use. It was my grandpas, and I bet it will outlive me too.

It's 14 inches tall and 10 inches around so not that big. Enough room for food for those 12 hour shifts.

I love my tin cloth wildfowl hat from filson. It's not cheap about 90 if I remember correctly, but it looks phenomenal and is super durable. Totally waterproof waxed canvas on the exterior and a thick wool on the inside. I've worn it out hunting in the snow and sleet a bunch of times and stayed dry and warm. The way the flaps come down works out great to keep the wind off my ears when riding a quad fast in the cold. Definitely a solid buy

Wow that is massive. Didn’t realize it was so big from the pic. Thought maybe a foot tall tops.

Mine is actually still white, but it also hasn't ever been exposed to direct sunlight or other things that would discolor it. But in general, I agree with you.

Waring kind of sucks and does not last. I've had 2 immersion blenders that burned out fairly fast. Robot Coupe's the way to blend and worth the extra money.
