I have the Chieftain made by Vikings Blade, and it hasn't shown any signs of wear in the 3 or 4 years I've owned it so far

Those Henson razors are really something else. Its amazing what standards they are held to!

This is beautiful, but for those of us not willing/able to dish out 400 bucks let me tell you about Henson razors. Designed and made in Ontario, Canada by a precision machining company that specializes in aerospace components - made of aluminum - about $75 USD. I’ve been shaving over 50 years and have tried everything out there (except a 400 USD offering) and the Henson is my Holy Grail. https://hensonshaving.com/

There are many less expensive options for adjustable razors. This is definitely a very nice luxury item.

Thank you but that Ikea pillow looks like memory foam, not natural latex.

Try a smartwatch as alarm clock if you ever get the chance. Being gently tapped on the wrist with increasing intensity is a much better way to wake up than your entire world being torn apart by an air raid siren.

Yes, me too. I currently use two wool pillows and put my arm under one.

I had one years ago but it wasn't for me. I'm sleeping on wool now and love wool but they compress too much overt time. The last wool pillows I bought only lasted 6 months before going so flat and lumpy.

(1) I wash mine in down wash the right way, I know what I’m doing. It isn’t that long. Down doesn’t hold up to repeated compression that long.
(2) memory foams aren’t unknown polymers, and if you get a certified one (greengaurd/centipur), you don’t need to worry about off gassing. 15 years ago if you got a random piece of uncertified foam it could be a concern, not anymore. No more than you could have an issue with a cotton pillow case covered in unknown chemicals.
Edit: btw, any time release capsule has a tartaric acid-based polymer - which is a petrochemical. Ditto for about a zillion things. Hand sanitizer? Yup. Analgesic gel? Aspirin? Most creams.

I know you said latex, but you might also want to look at buckwheat hull. I love mine, and you can mold it to how you sleep.

Is this the one that has the battery compartment just in case the power goes off in the middle of the night and the clock resets? I remember there being a household upgrade of clock radios. From the ones without backup battery power to ones with battery compartments, and my mother won't admit it, but I know it's because she watched Home Alone and frightened herself into an insane clock radio upgrade situation.

Also recently doing business as https://earthfoam.com/ .
They are high loft compared to other latex pillows I have. I tend to put my arm under my head when sleeping on side, so I either have to use a thinner pillow or not put my arm under my head.

I have an older one before they were available in different sizes and heights. Mine is about 5 years old (got it when they first came out) and shows no signs of degrading. Side sleeper also, I have a small pad inside the case to raise the pillow a little. Great support and it sleeps cool.

I picked up a long, heavy handle and put it on a Merkur head. They are interchangeable.

At first I thought the “holds the blade at 30 degrees” thing was just marketing BS - but it really works. This is the first razor in years that has not nicked or cut me.
