I don't know how many times this happened but I'd be welding and notice my hand cramping and hurting and I'd realize that I had a death grip on my tig rig.

One thing about single is using their welding machines. Get a machine that barely welds and your day just got a bit harder.

I received a Merkur Futur for Father's Day a few years ago. It's adjustable, which I use for around my upper lip. I can't imagine needing to get something for hundreds of dollars. With that said, I'm not one of the r/wickededge people. I bought into safety razors because the blades were cheap and I originally got a razor from Maggard, a brush, a bowl, a holder, an assortment of blades and a few soaps. I settled on my favorites and I've been using it all for the better part of a decade now. After I got the Futur, the Maggard became a part of a travel kit, so it still gets used several times a year.

You get this way if you live long enough.

That looks like something a person would receive as a gift. It even comes with a box.

Double wrapped. Best I could come up with.

I have a Dream Machine from 1998, got it for my 11th birthday. Still going strong, but I removed the snooze button because my wife would hit it 3-4 times on my days off.

I have a 1930s Gillette. It works well and feels super solid. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Same here. Got a Mach 3 when I turned 18. Gonna be 40 next year. It's a great marketing campaign.

I have a sutera contour memory foam pillow and I love it as an exclusive side sleeper. It keeps my head in place and has a nook for your arm as well

15 years ago I bought one. Loved it.
But then after a few years the display got dimmer and dimmer and dimmer and dimmer until after a while I could only see it it a pitch dark room.

Gilette Slim adjustable, made in usa, in 1961 costed 1.5$, which adjusted for inflation would be 15$ today.

I am a side sleeper and I've found the high loft works well for my purposes. I'm also on the smaller side so that may be a contributing factor?

I still use my ICF-C240. My mom got it for me before I started highschool, not sure exactly when, but I must have been about 9 or 10 years old, so maybe the mid to late 80s? Absolutely love the thing. Keeps great time. Nice red display that's easy to read when it's dark or light, and not too bright. It's perfect.
About 10 years ago I bought a brand new C218 (not sure what's with the earlier model number) so my wife and I can both have a clock on our night stands. I hate it. The clock skews by like 10 minutes every year or two. And the display is this ugly bright green that keeps me up at night. I had to buy one of those darkening stickers, and now it's too dark to read in the daytime. Junk.

If washed and maintained properly it's far more than 5-6 years. I have pillows over a decade old that are still great. As with any BIFL object it requires thought of care.
I don't use Vaseline and last I knew pill capsules are mostly made of gelatin or cellulose, neither of which are petroleum byproducts.
Microplastics and petroleum offgassing is a real issue. Sleeping on unknown polymer should be a concern.

Can you link a place to purchase it? I’m a lazy shaver & as a female with so much more surface area to cover this adjustable option sounds amazing.

I've been using these for just under 25 years. They last be about 10 years before needing replacing.
