How did they feel when you first got them? They felt very hard and blocky to me. I've read that they're supposed to be really comfortable right out of the gate.

Best thing I ever did was buy two very nice dog beds from Casper and saved our couch cushions from our best friend. Did not even have to train him, he prefers the dog bed all the time.

Their Tech3+ is a new favorite of mine. Sturdier than I expected for a multifunction. The capacative stylus at the top is genius. It rides around in my pocket with keys, but is impervious to scratches, unlike other items.

Anker PowerCore charger/battery combos are cool because you can use them as a normal charger but then take the whole thing with you when go out. Unfortunately, Anker doesn't make any PowerCore Charger Batterybanks that have built in cords, which are nice.

I just bought my 3rd pair of Ohana’s this fall in at least a decade. They last way longer than everything else that looks decent. I used to get 6-9 months out of Rainbows. My Olukai Ohana’s last 2 years minimum. Skip Olukai’s leather models. They’re more fashion than reliability.

Wide as a size is a slippery slope. There is no definitive wide, each maker has their own metric. The above is a generalization applicable to many but not all. Brannock is the Lord and we need to preach that with BIFL shoes as buying a 12AA is far superior than just selecting 12 and going about your day if you are a 12AA person. Most BIFL shoes come with Brannock sizing.

I have a marc jacobs one that is pebbled leather (it matches a bag I have) and it's in great condition. I will always go real leather on a wallet. I bought mine off of poshmark.

if you go zippered, that's a place that will probably eventually need restitching or repair, just a fair warning (however I had a cheap one of those for many years that lived in my purse and I LOVED IT--I only got rid of it when the zipper started getting sticky and my phone got too big to zip inside it).

Louis Vuitton makes a very, very nice leather zippy wallet. It’s pricey, of course, but you will probably be able to bequeath it to someone several decades from now.

There are probably a thousand leather wallet brands out there that would hold up. I've had mine for at least 15 years. It's the kind that holds a checkbook, if you want. I think it's by Giani Bernini.

In my opinion there is no finer leather than Italian leather. Italy has been renown for many many decades for its leather goods.

Third for fossil! I’ve had my fossil for at least 6 years now and it’s really held up, no real damage besides normal wear, and even then it’s in really good condition. Plus I found mine at I think TJ Maxx to even better on the budget!

Another vote for Hobo. Bought my wife a Hobo wallet as a Christmas gift about 15 years ago, still looks great after all those years of swimming around in her purse.

I have a Fossil wallet that I bought used 6+ years ago and it is still going strong, no sign of wear. If I were to get another one, though, I would get it in leather instead of the quilted exterior I have to make it easier to clean. The one I have is a lot like their Liza Zip Around clutch - I like that it zips all the way up and folds all the way open.

Saddleback leather

I bought a pair a number of years ago. First day wearing them the soles of my feet turned black. Washed my feet several times, but it took days for the black to completely disappear.

I know a few women who have gotten some longevity out of their coach wallets.

I bought a pair of the flip flops while in Hawaii despite being told by the sales rep they were the “Cadillac” of flip flops (fwiw we have had terrible experiences with Cadillac but that was in the 80s).

I was a bit wear about spending $60+ on flip flops especially after having spend about the same on Rainbows which started to fall apart after about a year.

It’s been several years since I bough the Olu Kai’s and I wear them very frequently during most of the year. Granted, I’m not doing anything hardcore in them but they do get a lot of mileage. After all this time they have held up surprisingly well - almost no noticeable wear and tear.

For me, the biggest upside is the overall comfort. Compared to most other flip flops they offer a lot better arch support and don’t require any kind of break in like Reefs or Rainbows. The durability is really just a bonus at this point.

If/when these wear out I definitely plan on buying another pair to replace them.

lol I’m buying them for my daughter who is always climbing on stuff and falling down too. They could definitely improve their variety and add more “kid stuff”

I bought a Hobo brand leather wallet back in 2015 that’s still in great condition. I have no plans to replace it any time soon.
