Sound quality isn't really subjective. It's very measurable. But is it better than a phone speaker? Yes.

That's subjective. For what I paid, the sound quality is great.

Just because something still works doesn't mean it was good in the first place. Id bet my left arm it sounds like crap. Don't just post junk that you've had for a while.

Reply to comment by TheWonkiestThing in Request: Flexible Steel-Toe Shoes that are Extra Wide by TheWonkiestThing
I typically wear XW/4E in NB/Rockport/Dunham. I know the pain of steel toes not made for wider feet. :)
If you must have steel toes, then I feel for you.
Maybe look for a bootbarn.com near you. There are a lot of them around US.
Thorogood does make Redback knockoffs (and probably others) with comp toes in XW, but those are not likely going to last more than a year or two. https://thorogoodusa.com/thoro-flex-6-black-safety-toe-804-6134/
You could also try places like wideshoes.com or healthyfeetstore.com for wide work shoes/boots, but those are again probably not going to last more than a year or two.
If you don’t need comp/steel toe, you could possibly try https://jimgreenfootwear.com/store/rambler-vellie-black , but you may need an 8$ walmart airplus ultra work insole to add. Those are very comfortable for me, even though they are not really in the XW range. I also have a pair of their rangers built on same last, but with true leather cap toe… the stitching/stiffness on the cap toe bothered me until broken in and moleskin patches added inside on the hotspots. They do also seem to have a steel toe boot on thar same last, but I expect it would be bothersome as it isn’t truly XW.

Lots of hotels offer the same pillows they use new for sale.

My wife mainly uses it as a shower speaker. It stays home unless we stay somewhere else. I'm pretty sure I bought it with one of those 40% off one item coupons.

FWIW I have to send my watches in for repair at the local repair center (which is across town, but with 2 hrs of LA traffic in between) to get the movement serviced on my Hamilton Khaki field. It's a bummer but mail-in service is almost the industry norm.

dang, a Shinola costs $1500 bucks? I bought my Omega Seamaster Pro (used) for only $150 more than that. A $1500 shinola feels like paying $400 for a swatch...

I have a similar shoe issue. Those shoe sizers put me in a 12 length, 14 by width. Can't say they'd be bifl, but carolina broad toe might help with the fitting issue. Daily use, farm, outdoor, in the shop and I'll get 1.5-2 yrs out of a pair.

Plus one on the Electrolux front loaders. Also you don’t know what you are missing out on until you see how clean the Electrolux cleans your cloths. Feels good quality solids glass door, simple clean settings and most importantly was like the only washer/dryer I was looking at that does not have wifi built in

I have a Speed Queen. I've only had it about six years which is not long, but no repairs, works like a charm. Machines with no/few electronics are going to last longer in general.

Yes, the one people recommend most, the top loading TC5, has an old fashioned agitator and will accelerate wear and tear but that's the trade off for getting clothes really clean in about 35 minutes per load.

The bigger problem would be the size depending on what your needs are. Even their own page highlights this.
https://speedqueen.com/top-load-vs-front-load/
So if you are doing a load a week then it might not be a big deal. But a family doing lots of laundry that might become an issue. Then there is cost. Depending on where you are water costs might be very important or not at all. So you might need to make a choice based on that. There is no perfect machine only the one that will work best for you based on your needs.
